Memoir Of A Dinosaur 🦖 pt2.

My life was now about to take a dramatic change of direction!
During my daily commute on the overcrowded & claustrophobic London
Underground Transport System. I happened to be reading a magazine which fell open at a particular page.!................

Before we climb back into the Time Machine to advance forward again, I will just let you know what happened on my Annual Brcak 2 weeks previously:-
My Annual Break was a holiday in the coastal resort of Hastings ( now my current home town )
. Out shopping, I came across a small shop, the powerful aroma of burning incense enticed me to enter!
Inside was an Aladdins Cave of ethnic curiosities, in addition to the incense , the air was filled with the sound of trickling water from a motor driven waterfall, the soporific sound from bamboo wind chimes added with ethereal voices singing a Mantra called 'Love Will Always Heal Your Heart '
A fact which I now know to be true! but at the time meant nothing !
I left this enchanted Sanctuary clutching my purchase of CDs feeling different, as though an Inner Portal within My Heart had been opened for the first time!
....................The magazine fell open at a page advertising A Complementary Therapist Course, part time & weekends only!
I hada vague idea about this type of course, as a friend had trained as an acupuncturist.
Fast forward a couple of weeks, phone call made, brochure received, it only
remained for me to meet the course director. Appointment made the meeting
place was the college restaurant. Little did I realise it contained over 50 tables
mostly full?
No mobile phone, how I going to announce my arrival?......
......I needn't have worried! A talk gaunt figure with long hair wearing a kaftan, walked straight up to me saying
"Welcome David, My Name Is Gabriel I'm The Course Director',
How I was identified out of over 100 people at least half of them men, remained a mystery until I learned he was an empath, a gift I find I now possess!
Now let's climb aboard The Time Machine moving forward to the end of the 2 year course!
By the way, my two favourite words In the world are metamorphosis &
supercalifragilisticexpialidocious!
The first word is relevant to this story, & I will explain! The second word has no
connection at all, but I suggest you Google it any way. You will be surprised by
what you'll find! You can then slip the word into any conversations you want to liven up!
In this context, Metamorphosis means the transformation of a caterpillar into a
butterfly!
Let's just say, before this course I was a fat greedy caterpillar motivated
by money & status at any cost!
Thankfully no longer the case! Whether I turned into a gentle butterfly is for others to judge!
What followed was a l6 year old school leaver, setting up & running a successful
Complementary Therapy Practice. The greatest compliment was to be asked to
lecture students at an adult education college.
I still felt there was something lacking in my purpose? I was shown an ad for a
Therapy Centre Manager funded by a small local charity for those with TerminalHealth Conditions, including Multiple sclerosis & motor neurone disease, awesome children with cerebral palsy
I applied for & was offered the position I emersed myself in
this role for the next 12 month.
Finally I had achieved my true goal in life......
