Confused Identity Chapter Two

_____'Monday Drama'____
Sunday Morning.....
So yesterday I slept with many thoughts about what would have happened if I hadn't gotten the job. 6:00am I was up and preparing for church myself and the boys are getting dressed up. We sit down at the table and have breakfast . Dad doesn't have a car of his own so we treck to church as we take turns to carry Kandle . We finally reach and we are greeted by smiling faces , that sweet sound of a grand piano, that church scent and the sound of Pr Jimmy McKinley greeting the congregation he preaches about having wisdom in our walk of faith and man did I feel like that sermon was for me. I thought to myself I have to work and read my books at the same time and pray hard that dad makes money. The service is finished and as mom and dad greet some friends I meet my best friends Cloy, Myra and Jonathan we have been friends since we were five expect for Cloy we knew each other since we were like two since my dad has worked for his dad for a long time he is like a brother to me. I also greet the rest of Cloy's family Mr&Mrs Mackson , his brother Cameroon who is Kiara's classmate and their little sister Brittney who is Kim's agemate. I am talking to my besties and all is well until Myra brings up the talk of how her school shopping was amazing.And I remembered that she had asked me if I wanted to go with her earlier that week but I was busy trying to find a job that I am not telling them about. Ahhh! I wish they knew how jealous I feel she wouldn't be asking. But I declined her request for the good of my heart.
Th Macksons are leaving and they ask if we need a lift you know sometimes I think this is mockery. And the way dad is always puzzled by that offer is one to see. Anyway he replies "no thank you we are heading somewhere else" with a huge smile. we say bye to our neighbors the Macksons and dad faces the direction to the park so I guess that is where we are heading. We got ice cream and went back home and dad burst it out to Kiara that she is not going school shopping and that she will have to manage what she has because dad used all the money he had to pay some bills and her fees. Tomorrow is my doom day I thought.
_______Monday Morning____
it's everyone's back to school day but as for me it's first day on the job day. We we're all up at 5:00am. Seeing Kiara and Kim get ready for school and me getting ready for work is annoying but that morning all I did was pray," Dear God please give me strength to survive righteously today and give me peace at heart Amen."
I did some chores did some reading and headed to Mr Hamphrey's for work. "Good morning sir," I said softly. He replied and thanked me for keeping time. it was 9:30am. I went out to the back and scrubbed the pans and dishes squeaky clean that Mr Hamphrey seemed amazed. Customers kept coming and the dishes kept coming to and the day went on .I was scared for it to clock 4pm when everyone is out of school and heading for their favorite hangout. What are the school kids going to think this time?" Kylie asked herself. She kept on remembering what had been said about her previously things like she was autistic , had bad temper for school it was an endless list.
4pm business time Mr Hamphrey said happily but for someone it was doom time. The kids started kicking in and the numbers kept increasing my heart had silenced since I was at the back and wouldn't be seen just when Mr Hamphrey called me to help him at the front. I felt weak in the knees ,sweaty and nauseated but had no choice but to go as I walked to the front I was noticed and the whispers started. "Oh Lord ! Kylie cried underneath her breath but she had no choice. She served her fellows and did just like any good employee would do smile and satisfy the customers. She did this in fear of Mr Hamphrey firing her and the respect she always had for people. The day went by and she had to work up to 5:30pm. She scrubbed her last set of utensils clean with Hillary's help and was soon set to go . She was paid thanked Mr Hamphrey and Hillary. Her sister had sat that evening waiting for her sister to finish what she was doing. The two sisters soon headed home although Kiara didn't seem happy that Kylie was working and all the things being said about her.~~••• to be continued......
