Letter to my younger self✨

Dear Me,

I know I have been a little late in writing to you,but now when I have finally got the chance I don't want to waste it in letting you know how late I am.

Probably you are in that stage of your life when everything around you may seem tougher and complicated and you may not be able to make sense of most of the things in your life right now, but believe me (I can see future) that one day you would be so proud of yourself that you had overcome every hurdle with grace and dignity, that every situation in life would not make sense and it is alright, that no matter how scared are you to be alone right now; one day you would embrace yourself and would know that being around few who really matter is important than being stuck in a crowd, that it is ok and important to make mistakes in life because they will make you a person you would love to be, that it is equally important to forgive yourself for those mistakes and letting go is absolutely required (although sometimes the learning would come in a hard way).

Few years down the line you will realize wasting your energy and time on thousands irrelevant thoughts occupying your mind (most nights) will only add to baggage below your eyes and some fine lines popping from corners of your eyes (which you would wish to disappear). You would meet people who you would think are the world to you and eventually they will not be, you would be grateful for friends that you had made, the choices you would feel gratitude for & sometimes the regrets.

There would be times when you would want to give up on yourself, when no one would be your one stop solution, when you would feel humanity is lost, when you will feel unsafe (being a girl and in Delhi), when probably all your friends are in different cities, when life will be boring & monotonous, when your job will not make any sense at all; remember then "Your mind will always believe everything you tell it. Feed it faith. Feed it truth. Feed it with love."

No matter how difficult life becomes, just have faith in yourself. Stick to the choices you have to make. Remember everything in life is a choice; choose who you want to become as an individual (You would be a beautiful women irrespective of the shape and size), enjoy every phase life has to offer, take risk because sometimes you have to take a leap of faith first and the trust part comes later. Save and spend everything that you earn, don't be hard on yourself to become a son to your parents; you are a strong daughter and your parents love you for who you are (though they might never say it aloud).

And one day when you'll think to write a letter to your younger self, you would realize you have wasted some precious time of your life on things that no longer matter and also you have life enrich experiences and incidents to share with future generations. In the end the only advise I can give you is to invest in yourself-learn, enjoy, discover, feel free, feel connected, keep yourself healthy, cry when you want to, laugh when there is absolutely no need, be mad, be happy and learn to say "No" when you don't feel convinced (life is not to be spend on pleasing everyone). Just be you.
