Ashley had left all of her Pokémon behind in Pallet Town except Growlithe and Machop and boarded a ship bound for Littleroot Town in Hoenn.

As they discuss their upcoming adventures, Ashley spots the Captain walking by and asks him when the ship will arrive in Littleroot Town.

The Captain tells her that they will arrive by tomorrow night.

The Captain looks over the port as the ship starts to sail off into the sunset.

That night, Ashley starts changing into her new clothes that her mother gave her. She was wearing a scarlet vest top over a black vest, white shorts over black Lycra mini-leggings, red and yellow shoes and a red and white bandana tied on her head like a bow.

She also has a yellow fanny pack that she will use to store her Poké Balls inside.

The following day, the skyline of Littleroot Town is now in sight. Ashley steps up on the deck in her new clothes and looks on, eager to reach Hoenn.

She immediately spots some exotic Pokémon. Some Wingull and Pelipper fly alongside the ship, as several Sharpedo leap from the water and a pod of Wailmer swim alongside it.

Ashley rushes back to her cabin to check on her two Pokémon, hoping to show them some of the new Pokémon.

"Growlithe! Machop, wake up! You guys have to see this." Ashley said as she saw her two Pokémon waking up.

Ashley and her Pokémon looks out at the sea just as a new chapter in their journey together is about to begin.
