Raging beast outta darkness into the light

Write a short story from your past that involves light or darkness in some way.
Once upon a time not long ago there was a timid creature that has been trying to find the perfect passage to find a peaceful journey to enable him to enjoy the his kingdom the best way he could.
He has always made difficult decisions along the way. Beating the odds of unimaginable obstacles and storms. Yet, due to his diligence and determination, the universe always continues to guide him towards his higher purpose. Which ever that may be!
Nevertheless, in this jungle he has met many dangerous monsters. Some gentle. And most not so much. Yet, some how the universe has guided them to show mercy towards one another. For often times even the most abhorrent ones have a compacity to show a rare love from within!However, it has always been the curiosity and bad habits that took him through the test of times over the years. Notwithstanding the critical thinking, so-called, kind befriending creatures that guided him through the roughest storms.
He never kept his grudges for long, but long enough. To enable him to to understand the true lesson behind his battles. Mainly the positive impact that gave him the necessary tools and skills to enable him to make better decisions about complicated situations that most may find unbelievable!
Therefore he rarely drinks from river of Lavery spirit waters much. For he maintains much or more responsible things to maintain on this chapter within his life. Yet he is not to be mistaken for the gentle steps that he has taken to maintain thus far. For surely he not known or titled as a beast for his because of his looks.
Nevertheless, he met his journey buddy somewhere along this path. And it took some extreme action for them to break one another in. However, as of this moment, they are at the top of the mountain. Gazing into the bright sunny skies. As they take in the beauty of the trees that are below. And the branches that are fully covered with the brightest snow that beasts could ever see.
