Live it..Love it..Leave it..Chapter 8
Sasha was sitting alone in her favourite cafe which used to be one of their haunted places to talk and laugh.." a lot happen over a cup of coffee"...that was their famous punch dialogue..memories..oh..they have turned bitter like a strong black coffee. At the end..all those memories hold nothing when she realized what has happened. Nithish had not been honest in his dealings..that is plain enough. He had not called or texted her even once after that fatal day. He had not even acknowledged her texts. Three months have passed..days of agony..pain..and confusion. He had remained silent throughout..stark contrast to what he had been..
From talking daily to total silence..they have come a long way and more than that she heard he continued his relations with his fiance..third one in the fray..totally nauseating. What infuriated her was that she couldn't see through his falsity. was she so naive? was she so taken by his charms..should be..how else could she explain it? She had been an intelligent fool...maybe she was hard upon herself..Nithish had been a complicated person..not easy to decipher..perhaps that appeared like a challenge to her.
There were proofs Sanjitha was telling the truth. Charulatha Banerjee had mixed feelings. Though she was sorry for Sanjitha, she liked Nithish to marry Sasha instead of the one he had chosen..maybe..she had low opinion about her. The very idea of competing for attention of a male did not go well with her.
Love is not a medal to be worn..it has to come naturally. of course if Nithish wanted to marry his fiance..who is she to object? She would silently walk away from his life..yes...she should develop the courage to disappear from his life permanently..there seems to be no choice..
How is she going to do it? ' No choice is also a choice'..she could almost hear his voice..the last book they were reading together..' the sense of an ending '...the tiltle seems appropriate..only she has to accept it...but how? what is she going to do with all these memories? How is she going to come out of this quagmire?
( to be contd)
