Silver Touch
It was a quiet sunday morning. The roads were empty except for the occasional movement of people and vehicles enjoying their weekend with family and friends.

A car was moving through the seemingly empty road. Inside sat a man in his late thirties humming to some weird tune his friend taught him. He too like all others had planned on enjoying the day with his friend. The happy moment somehow ended when he saw a girl of about eight years crying on the road and trying to stop the cars that went by.

Abhilash stopped his car before it could hit her. He came out and asked " what is it dear? Why are you crying?" The girl did not reply instead pointed to the nearby bushes. He went with the child only to see a woman presumably her mother lying there injured and worse for wear. If it were not for the occasional movement of her chest he would have thought she was dead. Wasting no more time he gingerly carried her to his car and laid her down. He turned to see the child standing by the bushes where her mother had been minutes ago. He silently went over to her and laid a hand on her shoulder leading her towards the car.

He reached the hospital as fast as he could and immediately proceeded to call the doctors. He silently sat on a bench outside the room the woman was taken in and called for the child. She sat next to him, her hand on both sides of her as if supporting her from falling. Abhilash felt they he had...
