The Threat (continued)
Cold brisk air froze her breath as Maranda stomped back through the back door of the rambling old farm house that she shared with her brother, cursing under her breath as she gathered the rest of the supplies she would need for her journey.
"What the hell is going on" Justin grumble as he is sshuffled out of him room rubbing the sleep from his eyes.
"I'm going hunting" she snapped reaching for the AK 47 hanging on the the wall above the fireplace," nobody threatens me" she said placing in the black leather case with the other weapons.
"you really believe that guy is out to kill you"
Justin replied, reaching to poor himself a cup of coffee.
"well sit down for a minute" he said jestureing to the weathered straight backed chair at the table. "have a cup of coffee with me" he said place a cup in front of her and filling it with the steaming brew.
"It's neither here no there" she replied waving her hand in the air for emphasis. "but I guarantee you" she said taking a cautious sip of her coffee. "He will never try to extort money from who he thinks is a helpless woman again." He threatened the wrong damn woman this time."
" You want some company? "
" No, I need to do this alone" She said. "besides he won't be expecting a woman to come after him so I will have the element of surprise on my side.

Dawn was just breaking with streaks of color chasing each other across the sky as she todded the rest of her supplies in the back seat of her brother's black four wheel drive toyato tundra.
In exalty 26 hours from now, give or take a couple of hours for pit stops she would be in San Luis California with enough time to scope out the perfect spot for a clear shot.
