Dreams are amazing 😍
#WritcoStoryChallenge
The footsteps following me sounded closer. I ran through the empty corridors of the hospital, my heart pounding with terror.
I turned a corner and stopped short. I had reached a dead end.
Then I heard many voices,I could not figure out any words from the sounds ,I got scared but gathered some courage and turned back to the direction I came from still knowing I might be followed,as a midwife nurse on a night duty and the oath that I've sworn I still have to give out my service to who needs it .
I took my stethoscope hanged it around my neck and started walking back through the empty corridor, the fear finally flew out of me because I realized there is something beautiful waiting for me at the labour ward ...
With gladness in my heart and prayers before I could start the delivery entered the ward and my co-workers were ready waiting for me to start,we held our hands together and shared a word of prayer with the client and assured her and the husband that "It's going to be well".
The husband smiled and and gave the wife a kiss on the sinciput(forehead) indicating trust, within a few hours..
Oh my God,what a beautiful thing I and my co-workers have delivered ,we congratulated the couple on having had a handsome bouncing baby boy .
We cleaned and wrapped up the baby and gave him to his parents, with so much happiness filled in the woman's heart she started crying and kissing the baby all over and saying thank you so much and I told her give thanks to the one who gave you him.
Standing at the corner observing this moment I realized that,my service, your service and our service is what someone is depending on to be happy and I smiled at my self and left still thinking about what had happened.
I was so lost in my thoughts that I didn't realize I've come out of the hospital.....
then I heard a sound of tree branch break and I went back to the ward to check on my patients.
When I came back home the next morning I told my family that"whatever you decide is what you see in your results"my dream that became a reality .
I was running in away at first because it was my first time to deliver a baby after my midwifery Training.
My family smiled at me and said you will sail through.

A dream is not what we just say but what we actually do.
The End.
