A weekend boomerang!
The weekend had already shown up, and we decided to put ourselves on some missions. We stormed our heads and reached a consensus on heading towards the impossible by getting glued to the latest series of Tom Cruise's Mission Impossible.

I booked three tickets online, and we geared up for the movie at the Mall. Valsan was behind the wheel and parked the car in close proximity to the cinemas. Holding the handrail in one hand on the escalator, Ranjit looked at his watch and said, "It's almost time."

Within minutes, three of us were seated inside the cinema hall. Before getting into the hall, we managed to get some snacks and drinks. While munching the snacks, we glued our eyes to the screen as the trailers started taking turns on the screen. Our viewing was disturbed by a small commotion among three gentlemen standing near us who looked confused. One of them was staring at us. We ignored the scenario and returned our attention to the screen. Ranjit's sharp ears overheard their discussion with one of the cinema's staff members. He then whispered into my ears, and I whispered it to Valsan. We exchanged looks between us and then shifted our attention toward them with empathy. Their seat numbers matched ours, but for a different date! What a pity! How can they come today for tomorrow's show? Yes, they appear to have arrived at the correct location, but on the incorrect date! We really felt pity and sympathy for them.
Then came the boomerang with a bang!!!

They were at the right place and time to watch the movie on the right day. We were on the wrong date, and we had taken their seats. Our show was for the next day. With a sad face, the staff requested that we give our seats to them and leave the cinema hall silently. With a heavy heart, we cut a sorry figure and got up, and those three gentlemen were too quick to take the seats with a smile of satisfaction. Poor us!!!!
While leaving the hall, I just turned around to see if we had taken all our belongings (including the snacks and drinks), and my glance fell upon those gentlemen. The movie had just begun, and they were still actively watching us, of course, with pity, empathy, and, to some extent, sympathy.

We drove back, debating how we got in, with many assumptions running through our minds. We wasted time, but not the snacks and drinks we savored along the way. Indeed, our mission for the day remained impossible.
Nevertheless, we looked forward to the next day's show, and there was no one to disturb us, and the staff welcomed us with a smile.
