Boredom
Balar squinted at her nails, her expression arranged into a bored frown. There was nothing to do in this place her human male called an apartment. While he was away at a place he called work with dry enthusiasm, she was left to her devices.
And this wasn’t her realm so devices were limited to the white walls of the apartment and there was that nasty rule her human set that forbade from going out.

She groaned, bored out of her mind. She would have to get him to change it. A month of this would drive her mad. Scratching her horns, she yawned, stretched with feline grace on the couch and turned on her stomach. Her long pointy tail gilded through the air and dangled over the edge. Listlessly she picked her nails. All her sisters were busy while she wiled away her time because she was careless to let her human male trap her in this dull place.

The jangling of keys, made her pointy ears perk up.

A few seconds and he entered, locked the door behind her and called out to her.

“Balar!” he sounded excited. He always did. Maybe that was why she still obeyed him.
She didn’t respond however, but pretended like she was asleep.
