A differential path..!
#WritcoStoryPrompt12
The old woman was near death. I could hear her try to draw in painful gasps of breath. I felt helpless as a doctor in this remote part of the world. Was there nothing I could do?
In this white coat....In this sound of heart sensing stethoscope....a doctor is a guardian of life....need to be a protector of life....even at the time of starting a breath...for a new born baby....and at the time of ending a breath for an old one....With care and comfortation...! ...With love and determination..!
As a doctor I wanted to help her.Service is something engulfed into my blood...It is fate which made me a doctor!...If not I will do some other work for the service of humanity.
A man or woman involved in human service would be irrespective of criticisms....His goal is above all that..He focussed only for a greater goal..!.If dedicated...he never worry about his work or the things in acceptance....and always try to improve it.He would do most acceptable things based on morality. His conscience is much developed to make him hit If he think,do or say anything wrong.
As I am a doctor...involved in human service....!
When two men went to my house and asked me to examine her, with some diagnostic equipments and medicines in a bag I followed them to see her.Her condition was critical I understand. She never eat or drink or say any words for days...Her eye sight become so less and some words of murmuring come out...!I examined and gave her some medicines to relax if there exist pain, weakness or even fatigue. Her body temperature decreased because of low blood flow...breathing was shallow and there were gaps in between breaths. Her skin colour looks dull. She can't understand the familiar one's ....
I asked her relatives to give some liquid food as it improves digestion...She should be bathed and dressed well....cleanliness also is essential...
I asked her relatives to keep the company with her to make her comfortable. She can't response well because of confusion.Care should he needed for her,I thought. She need to be shifted to a hospital with essential medical facilities...!.We also think about palliative treatment.
She was my professor of chemistry in college...indira madam...I remember...now also her class which was so interesting. She was the cousin of my classmate...so that many students asked him about her....everyone of us were so curious to know about her....many days were there when she left college early taking leave ,leaving us after giving instructions in the lab because her daughter was only one year-old at that time.In one of our special classes in Saturdays she brought her son sam who was only four years old...All students surrounded near him to pull down his fleshy cheeks. He never smiled but gave us a naughty look .Her daughter sheena...I never saw her but some of our classmates saw her with indira mam on their way to college...
When years passed....That years..When I went to study medicine ,I heard that she was suffering from cancer.I was shocked hearing this...She in her very young age...become a patient...But something new about her was when she knew about the disease...She started working hard....and become more active in life.Within two or three years she became the principal of the college...made modification to the entire college...made improvements in schedules...upgrade the garden area ...filled it with flowers with her own interest...painted the building....made arrangements to enrich each and every functions...and then started doing research in her subject and within years acquired doctorate degree and gave contributions to that field. Her area of activity was education....so she did each and everything for its welfare! But to everyones surprise, later her disease was cured more or less completely. But now her death was nearing..!
I understood that she had gone a long way in life...She signed up for eye donation and acquired a certificate of appreciation from the eye bank and also signed up to organ donation also.I have to discuss other doctors about both eye donation and organ donation. We made all arrangements for making it better!.Her husband, her son and daughter helped me much for carrying out all other formalities...!
Some people are like that...evenif they are moving to death the path they had been travelled gleams and glitter and remain as ideal to others...Enriching with goodness into the nothingness of life...!
Your world can be either small or large!Whether it is small, you can complete it by doing your responsibilities...Whether large, you can complete it by doing service to mankind also..!If doing properly....it with satisfaction..!!.it with sublimation...!!
