All alone
Tom is feeling great. He recently went to rehab and tapered off of his Seroquel. He knew he would feel better off of it, the Seroquel was causing more problems than fixing. At only 30 he began to have heart problems and after doing research he realized it was the high dose of Seroquel he's been taking for years, it was killing him. A couple of weeks after being clean from the Seroquel he's exercising everyday and meditating. Tom is feeling good, he meets a girl. After a few dates things are going great for Tom and his new girlfriend Ashley. They go out to eat, go to the movies and hang out at Tom's place. Tom even starts talking to all of his old friends again after going years of avoiding them. He goes fishing with his buddy Nick and they hangout, watch TV and reminisce about the good old days. He eventually introduced his girlfriend to his friend. They all get along great. Tom is at home this evening relaxing and he gets a phone call, it's his psychiatrist. "Tom I'm really worried about you" his doctor sounds panicked. "What do you mean, I feel great, better than I have in a long time". Tom is beginning to feel anxious now "why are you worried about me?". "I've gotten some phone calls from some concerned people, they say you've been going around town talking to yourself and one of your friends called and told me you showed up to his house trying to introduce him to someone who wasn't there". "Have you been taking your medication Tom?". Tom drops the phone his head begins to spin. "No, this can't be, his girlfriend has to be real, and all the times he was hanging out with Nick, how could his mind have made it all up?". Tom picks the phone back up "I gotta go doc". "No Tom wait let's tal-". Tom hangs the phone up and walks away.
