But we used to spend most of the time picking them up and leaving them on the roadside.
Many people used to feed the pups those days. I too asked dad and he allowed so in the evening we used to give them some biscuits and sometimes milk. They used to eat them and ask for more. They used to eat one biscuit each day and if we give more they used to pick it up and hide it near the water pot which we had made for them.
Days passed and their number decreased...
now they were only 4 some died under the vehicle and some were beaten up by the locality dogs who did not belong to their family...
They had two elder brothers and parents to look after them.
Whenever there was a conflict with the dogs of the locality the parents used to go there seemed like were solving the issues. And the elder brothers had to look after them.
And I used to observe them from my terrace. It looked like I was able to understand their matters and had started dwelling with them. we continued to give them food in the evening and others had stopped. Now they rarely gave the portions to them.
The loyal dogs always came to us whenever they saw us.
