It's my favourite time of the year
It's finally my favourite time of the year. It's nearing Christmas time again. I begin to feel so filled with ecstasy. I love buying presents for my family and friends and I love decorating the Christmas tree every year.
I used to decorate the tree with my dad every year but this year his not around. I feel so sad for a moment because my dad passed away three years ago due to the pandemic. So as I decorate the tree without him, I placed an angel doll right at the top of the Christmas tree to remind us that my dad's an angel now watching over us and he is safe in the arms of Jesus!
My son Yush loves opening presents. So on this particular Christmas morning, he sees his presents under the Christmas tree and he is so excited to open the gifts. He recieved many presents from my mum and my brothers who live with my mum. Both Yush and I live far away from home. We just came home for Christmas.
It is time to go to church. Let's not forget the true meaning of Christmas. It was a day a saviour was born into this world. Jesus was born to give us life and give us more abundantly. Jesus's birth is a miracle in itself because Jesus was conceived by immaculate conception. It was a virgin birth.
Jesus came into the world not to condemn the world but to save the world and those who believe in Jesus shall gain eternal life. So I'm now seated in the tabernacle. My church is beautifully decorated with pictures of Jesus on the glass windows of the tabernacle.
As I gaze at the picture of my Messiah, I feel so overwhelmed. I can immediately feel the presence of God in this sanctuary. So we sing songs of praises to God and then it's time for us to partake in holy communion. This is a sacred ritual that christians partake in.
We then listen to the word of God and I feel so blessed to hear what God has to say to us through his word. The pastor then announces the benediction and it's time to go home.
On the way home I reflect on Jesus and His kind and compassionate ways. To know Jesus is to know beauty! We arrived home now and it's time for lunch. I layed the table. We are having roast turkey for lunch. We all enjoy each others company. Lunch was now over and it was time for Yush and I to go back home.
It was a Christmas I'll always treasure. Remember the true meaning of Christmas because Jesus is what Christmas is about! May you treasure Jesus and may He brighten your world, the way his brightened my world! May you have a blessed Christmas this year and always!
