Unfathomable Attachment (finale)
I go to my room. I land my sight at the sofa near the window. There is where GG used to sleep. I wonder where he is now. I sit on my bed and open my Facebook account. I am looking at the post he tagged me. I also check my messenger in case he has read my message. I sigh, no sign of him. I walk to my study table and get a bond paper. I draw him. Not just his face, but his whole body – sitting. After drawing, I take a picture of it and posted it on my Facebook with a caption: Where are you? I tag him.
My phone beeps. Kenneth send me a message. “Did he leave you? What really happened between you two?” I sigh. I wanted to tell him, but I can’t. I put my phone on the bedside table and go the bathroom for shower.
When I walk out the bathroom, I hear a sound of a broken glass. When I turned to look, I see my dad standing in my room. I stunned when I realize that it was the bottle of the garden’s blood. The liquid runs to the floor. My dad’s expression – I cannot describe. He is looking at my drawing. I hurry to grab my dropper for experiments during high school to save the liquid. When I turn my dad drops the paper and it’s all soaked into the liquid. I hurry to pick it up and I was surprise when I realize that it dried out.
A tear falls down my cheek. My dad also does. I probably am in shock to see my dad crying. He didn’t even cry at the burial, but now. “What is it dad?” I ask. He wipes his tears. He looks at me. “You drew that?” I look at the soaked drawing. I nod. “He looks someone I know.” A sad emotion comes from my dad’s voice. I don’t know what to say so I remain silent. He pats my head. “Take a rest then. I’ll just ask Ma Jen to clean this.” He smiles a sad smile. “No dad, I can clean this.” I assure him. He nods and leaves. I put the drawing in my study table and clean the broken bottle. I am extremely sad at what happened. GG is nowhere to be found, and the garden’s blood is all gone.

I went to the kitchen to drink some milk. Dad is back into talking with uncle Jenson. He might be staying here tonight. We have our guest room for him so I guess it is. After drinking milk, I go back to my room and the first thing that catches my attention is that GG is standing at front of my door. I am excited, and I run to hug him. “I thought you won’t come back!” I cried in my exclaim. I don’t mind rising my voice. He made me worried sick. The door opens, I look to check. It was my mom, standing.
She looks at me. I wiped my tears. “Mind to explain?” She glares at me. “Ah, I just practiced my acting for our school presentation.” I don’t want my mother to think I’m insane talking to myself. “And you sneaked this guy into your room?” My eyes wide open. I look at GG. He is also giving the same expression as me. “Wait, what are you talking about?” I ask to confirm that she talks about GG. “Harold, you need to see this!” My mom calls my dad. I am still in confusion.
For a while dad and uncle Jenson appear in my room. Mom just called dad, and this man tags along. They have a deep friendship!
The two are as surprised as I and GG. Dad looks at uncle Jenson, so is he, then back to GG. “Jason?” the two calls in chorus. I look at GG whose expression is unexplainable. He takes a step backward. “Harold? Jenson?” he drops to the floor. “GG!” I hold him. Tears race to his cheeks. “You knew him?” asks mom. The two come to us not answering mom.
“How come? What miracle is this?” They touch GG. Wait, THEY ARE TOUCHING GG? “Dad you see him? And, you can touch him?” They look at me. “How did this happen?” Okay I was about to get serious, but this never ending questions are killing me. Why can’t they just answer me first before asking in return?

I am unpacking my things. In the end, I accepted my grandpa’s condo offer. I sigh. I am so used of doing things with GG. I am used to being served. I haven’t eaten the food he cooked for a few weeks’ time. My phone rings. “Hello?” I answered the call. “I’ve been accepted to the university! See you on Sunday!” GG exclaim on the other line. “Be ready then, you’re more than a month late!” With that, he chuckles.

Okay before you jump into confusion I’ll tell you what happen. That night, Ma Jen fell sick and was in the hospital. The people inside the house was only my parents, I, GG, and uncle Jenson. After we calmed ourselves down, I spoke to them about how I got to meet GG. Everything, every little detail I confessed. It was hard to believe, but they had no choice – it’s the truth.
After that, I have learnt that GG is Jason Meyer before he died. He was uncle Jenson’s twin brother. He died running from his brother’s wedding with his first love. He might can’t handle the pain that time. Seeing his first love marrying his brother.
Story was both uncle Jenson and him was in loved with the same person. Andrea – the twin’s beloved is in a relationship with Jason or GG. However, Andrea was pregnant with uncle Jenson’s son by accident. How is it accident? It was during the twin’s birthday party. Everyone was drunk. Andrea was aware of making love, but thought it was with his boyfriend, Jason.
After the incident, the twin had a huge fight. Knowing Andrea’s pregnancy – Jason is willing to be the father, but Andrea couldn’t face him with the mistake she made and decided to marry uncle Jenson. Jason didn’t plan on attending the wedding at first however, he decided to stop the wedding. It was too late when he arrived. The newlywed couple step out the church together with rain of flowers. He couldn’t handle the pain, and ran off. Crossing the road, he didn’t see the car and was hit.
Uncle Jenson blames himself of his brother’s death. He fell into depression so is Andrea. When she delivered the child, the child died after birth. Andrea fell ill and died, after that. Uncle Jenson was sent into mental hospital to cope up with his losses. Luckily he recovered and managed to become a successful businessman.

After that drama, the siblings forgave each other. Uncle Jenson promised to make it up with GG. He handled GG’s papers. And now, GG is his son. Funny how the story turns that way, but they made a story of GG being his son who stayed in London, and was home schooled because of an illness. Sure – money is capable of doing such thing. Easy for a rich person like uncle Jenson.

As for the matter about GG’s disappearance, he was brought back to the garden when Gram died. It was because of an unfathomable attachment. It maybe was because the garden’s blood was given to me from Gram. The wild flowers in the garden have died when we came for a visit. That’s another unfathomable phenomenon.

Sunday finally has come. I am waiting for GG to come out of the airport’s exit. When he appeared, I couldn’t recognize him if no because he waves and smiles at me. I am amazed by his changes. He had sectioned his hair all the way off, and created a disconnected section. He slightly tapered it to the bottom, extending the section through the back – creating a kind of a triangle shape right into the middle back. He brought everything down (hair from what people call – the crown head and the front), and created a more jagged kind of wispy or edge. He layered the top – probably 3-4 inches. His versatile style is that of a combination of two-block haircut and a k-pop twist. He is wearing a shade of red loafer, gray trouser, and a plain maroon long-sleeved shirt. Who could have created this utopia?
I wave back at him. He runs to me, carrying just a bag of probably papers and documents. “Where’s your luggage?” I ask. “Dad told me to buy everything here.” I laugh. “Dad?” I tease. “Yeah. I must get used to it. New life.” He said in between his laughs. “Ah! We’re neighbors, I guess it’s your turn to help me shop this time.”

And that is the story of me, and GG – the guy who came out of my drawing.

PS:
Another story about Hera’s grandparents will be written after this one, that will explain the other unsolved mystery.
