The Jungle...Run of Life

Now Raja and Shaym were dead
Jassu was going back to campus and hopefully alive and we both were Running hard to save our lives from that ghostly thing.
We still knew nothing about what was happening in that Jungle but our 2 friends were dead and we were in real trouble.
In the dark of Jungle it was nearly impossible to find out the exact way out so we both were running with some Experience.
After few meters of running we heard Someone's footsteps approaching towards us though it was dark so we couldn't see but due to deep silence we could hear the sound of footsteps.
I said to Manu that it could be jassu who might came back with Help so we should stop and wait for them.Manu agreed with me and we both stopped running.
The footsteps were coming closer, Almost reached to us but suddenly the sound of footsteps stopped.And it looked like if someone was standing just in front of us but we couldn't see.I was sure that someone was here very near to us and he was silent,I asked out of fear, Jassu is it you?the pitch of my voice was indicating how fucking scared I was.
I asked 3 times who's here,pls say something...but no respond.it was dead silent that we both me and Monu could hear each other's breathing..
After few seconds of dead silence I felt someone's cold breath on my neck and it whispered in my ear very slowly "You will be dead,you can't escape"💀.
It gave me a small heart attack ,I looked back moved my hands here and there but no one was near to me except monu.Then someone laughed loudly behind us☠️,it tore our ass and we ran from there but those footsteps again started chasing us,Now we will also die Monu said to me,I told him to keep running without looking back
Though I was a athlete so running was in my habbit and I was running faster than Manu.Now it was clearly feeling that some evil or ghostly💀 thing was chasing us but unfortunately Monu got tired of running and he slowed down.
Suddenly a memory stroked in my mind,Last year me and My mom came to a Lord Shiv's temple near to this Jungle on Maha shivratri.This temple was located parallel to Jungle and my school.I filled with great confidence that if anyhow we could reach to the temple than we would be saved and also automatically got confidence about the way to temple.
I looked back to inform Manu but I was shocked to see that he wasn't there,Manu suddenly got disappeared.
WTF....Where he went i had no idea.I thought to stop and took a look for him but the footstep was not
chasing now so I thought someone caught Manu and now I have to save myself.
I had to run fast as much I could,
without stopping, without looking back.I had to reach in the boundary of the Temple anyhow, this was the only way to save my life.So I was running like hell.
Now it was more than 10 minutes I was running continuesly and Now I could see the light of the tomb of the temple But there was a big problem before reaching to the temple.
I had to cross a small part of Lake,but a good thing was that this part of lake wasn't Soo deep and wide so I could easily swim over it.Now i reached at the bank of lake and I removed my shoes and jeans as they both can make swimming difficult.The water was very cold but I started swimming fastly so that I could generate some heat from my body.After 5-7 mins of swimming I was about to reach at other end of lake But suddenly someone hold my leg and pulled me down inside water,
it was a very strong hold I was not able to get rid of it.i tried Soo hard but no success,I looked at him,omg it looks familiar fuck it was Manu but he was not in his control and seemed to be possessed.I called him'Manu please leave me I'm your friend but he didn't listened'.now I was feeling short of breath I was never been in water more than 1.5 mins.My eyes were closing slowly slowly and I was dieing now.
Suddenly A current of immense power flew inside my body and I opened my eyes in water and looked into his eyes,And with whole power i inserted fingers into his eyes, blood started running out of his eyes and he cried out of pain.It made him loosen his grip over my leg and I came above water and took a long breath and started swimming with my whole energy towards bank of lake.
Finally I reached on land but surprisingly He didn't chased me infact his dead body came out floating above surface of water .
I didn't thought how this happened and started moving towards temple after few mins I reached inside Lord Shiva's temple and took a long breath.
There were 2 pujaris who took care of mine till morning.I told them each and every thing,Old Sage told me that he also heard something about this jungle,The jungle is possessed and nobody used to go there in night from many years.
Next Morning Police found dead bodies of my friends Raja ,Shyam and Manu along with that Hut but there was no evidence found Inside it.My friend Jassu never found...😳
How Manu spared me in water is still a mystery for me......

I wrote this final part of the story last night till late,Around 3 am my rooms A.C stopped and I heard someone's footsteps in street.But when I looked out there was no one...👻☠️☠️
