The next day both Gillian and Robert
reached the residence of Charles Bates
at Ruby Avenue, Sloane Square, Oakland.
First Gillian stepped out of the car
and was stretching her legs when she
saw a red bricked mansion in front of her.
After a while , Robert came out of the car and he also stood in front of the Mansion , under his breath he commented:
"This man's got a lot of money, wonder where he keeps them.
Gillian , smiled and said: "yeah! this man's stinking rich" even I was wondering where the man keeps his money.
Robert!said : he must have a lot of lockers in this house who knows .
Gillian also answered , who knows.
They both gave a knowing look to each other and walked towards the gate.
The gate was locked , but there was a guard.
Robert called the guard gave him some money and asked him to let them in.
The guard agreed , opened the gate and allowed them to enter.
Both of them slowly walked up the driveway , and found a cherry
coloured car in front of the door.
Robert, said I think someone is here.
Slowly and very quietly they walked to the door which was half -opened, they
could here muffled voices from inside.
