In our company , Today a girl (new joining) came to me and asked for me to introduce whole machinery and plant process. I explained her about the process and everything. After explaining the whole process when i come back to my office. Some of my colleague were taunting me and saying. You gave so much time, you were so nice to her etc etc..if there were a boy in place of her, you would not be nice to him. I just said don't talk rubbish. I am not that kind of boy whatever you are thinking. Here the question raises, is women are safe at working place?? If not then who is responsible? Taking about a girl behind her is shameful act. How would she react if she came to know about this? No doubt she will not feel safe. She is daughter of someone. Have u dare to listen these all rubbish things about your daughter. These are the reasons why we see very few number of women are working at industry. There are number of reasons why women participation is law. Cultural & social barriers, poor policies & lack of resources, family don't allow to work.lack of opportunity, gender discrimination. India has one of the widest gender gaps in women’s economic participation and opportunities. India ranks 145th out of 153 countries in the economic participation index.
