Delhi Story Series Part III
Delhi Story Series Part III:
◆ Miscellaneous:
1 day to go. I knew back to Kolkata, I'll start missing Delhi Metro. So I thought why don't I travel around and explore while I still have some time to spare? I travelled all the way to Gurugram (90 mins in metro) to have a glass of sugarcane juice. Back to Patel Chowk. Visited the Metro Museum. Museums fascinate me, unlike most people of my age. I was probably the only one looking at all the models in awe while everyone else kept rushing back and forth to the metro or the exit. Then I went to Chandni Chowk, looking for some of the famous foodstalls and got lost in the alleyways. I bought some food and some more and some more until my backpack complained, he can't take it anymore and I returned home by sunset.
◆ Birds of Juno:
Can you believe they have peacocks walking in the park?? They aren't bothered my scary humans. Even the chicken around where I live are not this brave.
◆ Dilwalo ki Dilli:
【As they say~~
Bada kaske gale lagata hai,
Dhadkan ki dhun sunata hai,
Iske baaye taraf bhi dil hai,
Iske daaye taraf bhi dil dil hai,
Yeh shehar nahi mehfil hai
Yeh delhi hai mere yaar,
Bass ishq mohabbat pyaar,
Delhi 6 delhi delhi 6 delhi,
Kabhi pyaar mein gaali dekha hai
Kabhi gaali mein pyaar bhi hota hai
apni aankhon ka taara bhi yahan pyaar mein bilkul khota hai.】
The momos of delhi are served with mayo, mint chutney and love. I explored chhole bhature, papdi chaat, dahi bhalle, sooji ke golgappe with chilled pudina water. Parwal wala mithaai & Coconut barfi (in the picture), Motichoor laddoo and Malai Dhodha were fingerlickingly delicious. There were paan shops as big as a Mio Amore store in West Bengal. But don't judge a book by its cover. They were an absolute disappointment.
◆ Farewell:
It was time to say goodbye. And I did the most unexpected thing ever. I bought the Delhi Metro and brought it along, hehe. 🤭
