It started with a call from unknow number that Symon recieved, "hello!" Symon replied to the call " ooh! it's girl!", he talked to himself.A girl on phone said "is that malia's phone?",
no am Symon....." oooh! where is that?", Ntcheu..."ooh! sorry it's a wrong number" , the girl on the phone cut the line.
Symon was sixteen years old by this time, his parents lives in sharpvalley in a village called zalengela , the area is by the way to Salima.the village had no electricity by then , uncivilised.
his parents sent him to Ntcheu community Day Secondary School, there he was on self boarding.
Symon with friends were living happily
hard working and doing things as team, one's problem was everybody's concern.By the time Symon recieved this call he was cooking Nsima(malawian staple food) , it was his turn to cook at lunch time
Time went and Symon wanted to know more about the girl on the phone called from unknown number, after two weeks Symon texted to the number a girl called, "hie", the text was very short , Symon waited for the replie but the girl didn't .
Days went no response, the boy thought he can't be responded but he saved the number in his phone by the name "Uknown girl".
After two weeks Symon recieved airtime from the number he saved " unknown girl" and he texted to the number again "hie may i know you please where you are from and your name"
Unknow girl replied" am Emma from zomba, whats your name?" she asked
am Symon i told you where i stay "yeah " she replied.
Now these two were charting daily but it was difficult for them to meet since distance from Ntcheu to Zomba was almost eight kilomiters and tranport to meet was not easy to find especialy to Symon who was living with his mum who was divorced and his father does not help him.
Emma was a last born in her family wich had only two children the first one was working at a certain company , her father was a teacher and her mother too.She was happy to chart with Symon and she really wanted to see him.Transport to Ntcheu wasn't difficult to find but she was young and she can't go out for more hours her parents and her brother will start searching her, Emma was fifteen years old by this time.
Months went by , these two charting everyday and everyone tald their friends about how they are charting and how close they are.Symon had dreams to be a Musician and he liked listening and memolise songs, one of his best artist was westlife he memolise some of their songs and he used to sing duling conversation with Emma and she liked this.
