"Ms. Anne, I know you're upset, but you must tell me what happened, please. This is for the safety of yourself and others," the officer looked at me, fear filled his eyes like mine were only hours ago.
"I was in my room, just like every other night, and this man messaged me on Instagram. He asked if we could go on a date," my voice was slow, shaky to point. The man wrapped in the navy blue uniform, almost constricted by the tie around his neck, nodded as if to say 'go on'. "I told him no, not because I didn't like him but because of the quarantine going on, there were no restaurants open aanymore."

"He uh, he said his name was Damien, and he was my age, 24, he went on to tell me we didn't need a restaurant, and that he would bring me food." I paused and realized how odd it sounded to say this. Bringing me food wasn't all that strange.
