Man Retreats, Nature Reclaims (Article)
The fear of drastic consequences of frequent weather fluctuations and climate change has put the nature in the reclamation. Human beings who think themselves as the wittiest species on earth are sitting conquered being failed to tackle the curse of the Mother Earth. It has been battered by hurricanes cyclones, floods and tsunamis as warnings. Man continue to underestimate this warnings, consequently they are at receiving the end.The survival of human race is in danger.
The booming metropolies, deducing tree cover, increasing population and other single-minded distructive activities have contributed a great deal in retreating the natural environment. Amid the unprecedented coronavirus, global lockdown, scenes worthy of a Disney film have emerged, from swans gliding through the now clear canals of Venice to blue sky over China where the air is usually chocked with smog. It proves how fast nature can reclaim the world.
The world has already experienced the spread and impact of 'Severe Acute Respiratory Syndrome ' caused by SARS-Cov, Ebola, Nimpwh and now the novel coronavirus disease COVID-19. 'Nature has set the reset button' is one sentiment on social media at the moment . Satellite images from NASA suggested there has been an drastic fall in a levels of nitrogen dioxide world over. The epicenter of the deadly virus, the Chinese city Wuhan, has improved due to the complete shutdown. The air pollution level is strictly come down due to the lockdown activities. The skies are crystal clear in the absence of flights and water bodies are clean as no motor boats and ships are sailing ,the highways wear a deserted look.
It is the high time that man should take stringent measures to maintain a peaceful co-existence in nature or else deadly disease like coronavirus will savour them.
