Love, Divorce and Everything else
Chapter15: The Outburst

When Ryan reached home, he was completely broken and very worried because he still did not know how Myra was doing. However, he was determined to find a way to get updates about her condition now that her parents don't want him near her. He was also thinking of leaving the town now that Myra knows who he is and he has done the part of hurting her. His aunt won't be able to hurt her or her parents; they will be prepared. He slowly walked up the stairs to his house while looking at the street where Myra had the accident, feeling guilty for her condition. He then tried to unlock his door, but it was already unlocked. As he slowly pushed the door open, he thought for a moment that he might have not locked it properly until he heard some noises in the kitchen. It was Jack and Margaret. When she looked at Ryan, she got all excited, 'Oh, there you are, my favorite nephew, Ryan.' She had a bottle of champagne in her hand and handed it over to Jack, saying, 'Go on, open it now, Jack. These are good times; let's celebrate.'

Ryan was puzzled and asked, 'What are we celebrating?' To which Margaret responded, 'Well, you got rid of that little witch for us, and I am so happy right now I can't tell you.' Ryan's heart sank, his eyes were almost filled with tears, and he said, 'Got rid? What do you mean?' Margaret responded, 'Oh, don't worry. She is not dead yet, but oh, I so wish she was. I am sure she would be soon enough. I got in contact with a hospital staff and told the woman I am her aunt, and she informed me the witch is in critical condition.' 'Yes, I know,' said Margaret. 'What did you think? I trust you, Ryan, with such a big task? I had hired a private detective some time ago to keep an eye on you too.' She laughed and said, 'You didn't think I have blind faith in you now, did you? The private investigator had been sharing all details with me - how many times you meet, what you do, where you go. I knew you were under that witch's spell after all. You seemed to have developed a taste for leftovers. First, it was for food; now it's for women.'And she laughed.

The investigator informed me that she was at your place. I knew what you were up to at that moment and I was on my way to stop you. When he called again and said the witch was taken to the hospital, I was so happy. Even though you did not intend to, things worked out better than I wanted. Now I just need to take care of those two old sacks, and the girl is mine. I can prove she is Jack's. That witch will pay, and I always wanted a little maid around the house to do the chores. The girl would be trained and perfect in 2-3 years. Ryan, who was really upset by now and regretted what he had done gravely, could not hold his emotions in anymore. He shouted at his aunt, 'Stop it, both of you! How dare you insult Myra, and how dare you wish for her death? She was probably the best thing that happened in your worthless son's life. But you are such a cunning woman. You just couldn't bear the fact that your son married by his own choice, right? You had big plans for him, didn't you? Did you tell Jack the real reason why you broke him up with Myra by poisoning his brain and helped your worthless son also become penniless so he falls for your game, did you?'

Jack did not understand any of it and shouted, 'How dare you shout at my mother? How dare you call me worthless?' You selfish orphan boy. Jack tried to hit Ryan, but he saved himself because he knew, as always, Jack was too drunk to understand or be in his senses and would blindly follow whatever his mother would say. Ryan then went back to Margaret, who was in a bit of shock due to Ryan's response, and said, 'Oh yes, Aunt Margaret, I know everything. And I am warning you, you better keep yourself away from Myra, her family, and the little girl. Or else there will be consequences. You very well know I mean every word of what I am saying. Imagine you did so much damage because I was on your side. Imagine the kind of damage I could do if I were to stand against you.'

Margaret got upset and tried to slap Ryan, saying, 'How dare you, you little unthankful scoundrel!' Ryan stopped her hand and said, 'You better leave now. This is my last warning to you. After this, you will be responsible for what I do to you two.' Ryan screamed at them to get out. Margaret couldn't believe it, but she and Jack left. While leaving, she screamed, 'Well, this is not over, you selfish orphan boy. You are dead to us now.' Ryan just ignored them and slammed the front door closed in their faces.
