Opening the door at a wrong timing

The parcel that had arrived today, contained an old key and a list of instructions to use it. I looked around and searched the person whoever delivered it to me but there was no one. Strange. I closed the door and went upstairs to my room to look closely at the key. It was an old rusty bronze key along with a paper of instructions. I took the paper and read it for a while. It was written that instructions and rules should be followed but if they are broken then there shall be consequences.
It was also written that that this one key can open many doors leading to many places that you have never been to.
No.1 Use the key during the day up to 11pm for opening the doors.
No.2 To open a door to go to a new place you must unlock the door twice and when leaving that place you must lock the door twice.
No.3 Never use the key at 12am especially at 3am.
And then I read the rules and they sounded very serious. It said that if you don't lock the door twice but once you might let entities to enter into your world. Some are friendly but some are not. Never let anything pass through the door from that place. Do not make any contact with any entity. And there was this word warning written in red ink which said that whatever you do, do not use the key at 12 am and especially at 3am because at that time not only bad entities will enter into your world but also witches, devils or demons and such more as 3am is considered to be the witching hour or the devil's...
