New on his duty in the hill station of Mussorie, Viraj was the newly appointed Inspector. With the new town in his charge, he decided to go for a routine check on the posts which led the way through the forest, as instructed by his senior and the previous inspector Mr Ajay.

He looked at his watch, the hands pointed at midnight. Ignoring the fact that it was late he still decided to proceed.

Reaching the check post, he saw his subordinates awake and alert as the trucks stood there for their routine check.

All going good? he asked as he stepped out of his car.
Yes, sir, everything is fine.
