Title- “Unveiling of Boon, Benefit and the Windfall.- The Drawback with the Curious Self-Praising Remarks.”
A poetry-
“Yes self-praise may be an expression of confidence to some, but do not forget it’s important to navigate the line
between confidence
and arrogance. Oh, the wondrous feat of self-praise so fine, A tale of bloggers with multiple accounts so divine. For in the world of blogs, it’s a rare sight, To see authors & bloggers, praise their own write-up so bright. They comment and reply, with phrases so kind,Their own articles, they do find.Their praise so pure, their words so bright,
A self-love, that takes flight.
It’s the whisper of stupidity, a dangerous game, To praise one’s own work’s, without a thought of shame. As self-complementing quickly turns to ignorance and pride,A foolish display of ego, for all to deride. For arrogance is a vice, a trait we often disdain
It clouds our judgment, it makes us go astray, It’s the difference between a healthy self-esteem
And a pride that’s misplaced, a dangerous disease. Thus let us strive for confidence, a balance that we must all find,To be secure in our abilities, but not be blind. Let us not be fooled by empty words & grand claims, But instead let our actions speak, let our character proclaim.Hence beware, my friends, of that fine line, Between confidence & arrogance, it’s a slippery shrine.”

Introduction :

In this vast globe of blogosphere, a peculiar phenomenon has caught the attention of many & equally mine too: Authors,Writers and bloggers leaving complimentary comments on their own articles and write-ups through multiple accounts. This behavior, is often observed on platforms like Blogger or WordPress & other writing sites, raises questions about its purpose and benefits.

It’s been in the back of my head for some time now. Why do people with multiple blog accounts in the same platform write self complimentary praising comments and also reply under their own articles while they are posting them on blog sites like Blogger or WordPress, that too on their own write-up? Sometimes they post in their own profile. What are the benefits of doing this behaviour? When other reader’s and writer’s know that both are same person’s profile. Why do bloggers engage in self-praise and reply to their own articles under their own profiles?

Friends, In this blog post, we will delve into the motivations, amotivation and also demotivation behind this practice and explore the potential advantages, negative aspects it may offer.

Building Engagement and Encouraging Interaction:

One of the primary reasons bloggers engage in self-praising comments is to foster engagement and encourage interaction on their articles. By leaving positive comments, bloggers create a sense of activity and interest, enticing other readers to join the conversation. This strategy can be particularly effective for new or lesser-known bloggers who are seeking to build a community around their content. When readers see an active comment section, they are more likely to participate and share their thoughts, leading to increased engagement and a sense of community.

Boosting Confidence and Motivation:

Self-praising comments also serves as a confidence booster for bloggers. They say. Writing and publishing articles can be a vulnerable process, and receiving positive feedback, even if it comes from oneself, can provide a much-needed morale boost. By leaving complimentary comments, bloggers reaffirm their own belief in the value of their content and motivate themselves to continue producing high-quality articles. This self-affirmation can be especially important for bloggers who may face criticism or self-doubt in their creative journey.

Creating a Perception:

In this competitive world of writing and blogging, creating a positive perception is crucial for success. By leaving complimentary comments on their own articles, authors aim to shape the perception of their content as valuable and well-received. When other readers see these positive comments, they may be more inclined to view the article in a favorable light and perceive the blogger as knowledgeable and credible. This can lead to increased readership, followers, and opportunities for collaboration or monetization.

Sparking Conversations and Generating Ideas :

Engaging in self-praise and replying to comments under their own profiles allows bloggers to spark conversations and generate new ideas. By initiating discussions, bloggers can encourage readers to share their perspectives, insights, and suggestions for improvement. This exchange of ideas can lead to valuable feedback and constructive criticism, ultimately enhancing the quality of future articles. Additionally, by actively participating in the comment section, bloggers can establish themselves as approachable and open to dialogue, fostering a sense of connection with their audience.

Brand building:

They say. Commenting & self complimentary remarks on one’s own blogs help people build their brand, increase their credibility, and enhance their SEO campaign.🤔😷

My humble opinion –

I truly understand that comments can also be a stepping stone to something more, such as a conversation, wisdom, or ideas for improvement. But why in this way? Is it so necessary to go and comment on every blog post? Only so just to get back comments on our own works. Or to get thousands of followers. Such display of strange behaviour coming from such seasoned writers. How embarrassing. Isn’t it in public hands to like or dislike someone’s work. But why rather taking it too personal. It’s learning that we are lacking somewhere. Thus why not work on improving our work. It’s my personal view point , observation and understanding that. This type of conduct is most likely insecure about his or herself. They are most probably trying to make-up for what they feel they lack by boasting about the things they are good at. Or maybe they want other people to have an ideal perception of them with no flaws. Or either I am lacking behind somewhere and should maybe, I too display this conduct just to get more exposure or get more remarks or get more traffic in social media blogs. I’ve come across others who’ve done the same, likely because of the same reason: i have mentioned.

But Is it genuinely right or moral to leave a comment just for the sake of leaving a comment. Ideally, if I’ve shared something, it’s because I actually liked reading the blog post/article, and it made me think, which in turn prompted me to comment on it. I acknowledge that people are allowed to have their different opinions and suggestions on the same topic.

Conclusion:

So in conclusion, the behavior of individuals with multiple blog accounts writing complimentary praising comments and replying under their own articles may be driven by a sense of insecurity and a desire for validation. These individuals may believe that by creating positive interactions on their own posts, they can compensate for any perceived shortcomings and project an image of perfection to others.Ultimately, it is important to focus on improving our work rather than seeking external validation through such conduct. Rather than focusing on accumulating comments or followers, it would be more beneficial to work on improving our own work and seeking genuine engagement with readers and fellow writers.

While the practice of leaving self-praising comments on one’s own articles initially seems puzzling, it serves various purposes for bloggers. From building engagement, followers and boosting confidence to shaping a positive perception and sparking conversations, this behavior offers several benefits. However, it is essential for bloggers to strike a balance and ensure authenticity in their interactions. By leveraging the potential advantages of self-praise while maintaining genuine engagement with their audience, bloggers can create a thriving online community and enhance their blogging journey.

However, I think it is also important to focus on improving our work and fostering genuine engagement, rather than seeking validation through such behavior. Ultimately, the genuine appreciation and critique of our work should come from the public, and it is through their feedback that we can truly grow and develop as writers.

Thank you.
