Hours later when he was stable I turned in anger upon the illiterate parents. " Why are you starving this child? He needs proper food! "
Tears dropped down the broken, skeletal man who stood before me with folded hands. "Look around you, Doctor Sahib, the land is dead. We have no food." "Look again, yes we do!", I said. "We have plenty of food right here", I said as I pointed to the cupboards. The skeletal man couldn't believe his eyes. He sat down and ate three apples as quickly as he could. The doctor just shook his head and left. The doctor thought to himself, sometimes I feel like I'm in the Twilight zone. This place is a joke, why am I even still here? He just shook his head and laughed.
