Seeing a couple on television and suddenly it struck my mind... Oh, shoot am I not facing a similar problem? Or maybe a little more to this!
I'm talking about the drama serial Anupama running on the Star Plus channel. The central character, Anupama, was studious and wanted to pursue higher education, but due to the sudden demise of her father, at a young age, she married a white-collar job man. Later, Anupama gets separated from her ambitions and goals to raise a family. She was good in Hindi but not English. Thus, family members including children also felt embarrassed to introduce her to their friends.
Anupama, who had a hidden desire to become a school teacher, never found her husband's support. She felt distressed when she failed to get any credit for her sacrifices and trials. Then she decides to live on her terms.
Similarly, my wife was studious and good at the Hindi language. After marriage, she got a government job as a teacher. But she could not go ahead with the job and left it after a year due to the same reasons as Anupama.
While chatting several times, she also mentioned her desire to pursue the teaching profession or higher education.
Later I felt that I should not commit the same mistake that Anupama's husband has done. I observed her, many times helping children in Hindi writing. In many storyboards, she helped me deliver the script and, in turn, got appreciation from the superiors.
I decided to encourage her to pursue her storytelling skills and got her premium access to several writing apps. During the lockdown period, she wrote more than 5000 quotes, 100 stories, and some of them have been published in the book. Over time, he has received a lot of testimonials and accolades from peer writers for her exemplary writings.
Glimpsing her involvement and success, I feel a sense of satisfaction and joy.
