We all know that Sati was married to Mahadev against the wishes of her father Prajapati Daksh. When he organised a yagna ceremony and invited all the devtas, Sati firstly felt annoyed but then she thought a daughter doesn't need any invitation to go to her father's house.
Sati went to her father's house but his father insulted Mahadev and she became angry. She took the form of Jagadamba and revealed the power of her and Mahadev. Then she left that body and took her Bhadrakali form and went to Vishnu and ordered him to direct that body into parts so that she can again take re-birth.
Vishnu did as per Bhadrakali's instructions.
The place where the body-parts of Sati falled turned into Shakti-peeth.
Now, Shiv detached himself from the world and went to do tapasya.

Adi-Shakti re-incarnated as Parvati and Vishnu Ji helped Parvati to meet Mahadev.
She took the form of Brahmacharini.
Indradev thought that Mahadev should see that Sati has incarcerated as Parvati.
He Ordered Kamdev to do the job.
But Kamdev by mistake took what sword and
attached Mahadev 's third eye. Mahadev opened his eyes and his anger became uncontrollable.
He opened his third eye and turned Kamdev into ashes.
When he saw Parvati the first time, he thought that Sati has re-incarcerated.
Kamdev's wife Rati became angry and cursed Parvati that she cannot be questioned mother.

At that time Tarkasur was a demon who started disturbing the universe. He got a boon that he will die in the hands of Shiv's son.
Parvati(MahaGauri) married with Shivji.
Mahadev said to Parvati, "You are Mahakali.
You can do everything. "
Shiv and Parvati performed Lasya Tandav and by the power of them, a energy ball was created.
Tarkasur feared that his end is near.
So he took the ashes of Kamdev and turned his ashes into a demon.
Agnidev protected the energy ball and took the help of Devi Ganga but in vain .
Bhandasur abducted the energy ball.
Parvati became angry seeing the situation and turned into Mahakali.
Mahakali screamed and this awaken Mahadev.
Both of them went to save their child.
When Bhandasur insulted Mahadev, he became angry but Mahakali calmed him down and herself changed into Parvati.
Bhandasur took the energy ball and said, "See Mahadev, how will you protected your child? As I am made up of ashes, no one can destroy me. "
Parvati came and said,"Foolish Bhandasur. Every mother is Mahakali because Mahakali herself is a mother. Now you will die in the hands of a mother in such a manner that in future no one will consider a mother as powerless. "
Parvati took the form of Devi Lalita Tripur Sundari who is extremely beautiful.
Every God and Tridevs bowed in front of her.
They said, "We, the Tridevs bow down in front of Devi Lalita Tripur Sundari -the mother of universe. "
Bhandasur said, "No one can kill me because I am made up of ashes. "
Devi Lalita said,"Yes it's true but what will you do after you get a body? A body is made by five basic elements of the universe (Panchabhut). Mahadev is Panchabhuteshwar and I am Panchabhuteshwari. Now see how I give you a body?.."
She said, "First element AIR, takes birth from my breath. "
Bhandasur got air.
She said, "Fire emerges from the anger of my eyes. "
Bhandasur got fire.
She said, "The element of Earth is already present in you in the forms of ashes and the focus of my eyes symbolises the SKY. "
Bhandasur got the SKY elements.
She said, "You have given pain to a mother and you are the reason of my tears. "
Tears emerged from Devi Lalita and Bhandasur got the WATER elements.
Devi Lalita said, "You got the five elements and now you will have to die. "
Devi Lalita took her arrow and bow and killed Bhandasur and said, "This is an example of mother's power. "
Kamdev's wife apologized to Parvati and in return she blessed her and said, "Kamdev will again take birth as Krishna's son. "
Kartikeya when he became teenage killed Tarkasur and freed the universe from him.
