The ideal about telling stories about Shoemaker, came about when I was talking to a neighbor who had more memories about Shoemaker than I had, even though my family moved in the neighborhood before his family did. He would pass away in 2020, I remember telling him that we could recreate parts of Shoemaker around where we live. Two years after his death, I created a Facebook page that helped out a lot with recalling the history of business along Shoemaker, and the people that owned the business. Now on 2024 it's time to write the story of Shoemaker ave and surrounding blocks along Shoemaker from Warren to Shoemaker and I - 94, Conner to McClellan are going to be the boundaries for all the stories. No one name's will be used, instead the street they live on. I goals is to have these short stories finish by the end of this year 2024.
