Death by post / The postman cometh
The girl she was unhappy
Her life was nought but pain
Awakening that morning
Another day stretched out the same
A lonesome cup of coffee
No conversation then
This girl had not a single friend
Unless you counted nameless men
The only kind of love she had
But better that than none
She knew they didn’t feel the same
She was there for them to cum
And so she watched the years flit by
And too the fleeting chances
Didn’t notice all the invitations to life’s dances
The girl she soon grew older
Now a woman halfway home
Kind of set into the ways of living on her own
No parents and no siblings
Nowhere that she could call home
Destined to spend her solitary life all on her own
Then the lonely woman
She had a really bright idea
Now thanks to the internet
She needn’t be stuck here
The key she knew that she must have
She could afford to buy
It wasn’t that expensive
She could order it online
The ‘big day’ it came next day
No time then to reflect
Two bottles and a hypodermic needle to inject
‘where though do I put it ’
She mumbled in confusion
Then realised it mattered not
So deadly the infusion
The hypo fully loaded
She took one last look outside
The garden was her favorite place
She had to say goodbye
And sitting in the morning grass
The needle at her wrist
She took one last good look at all the things that she would miss
Whilst admiring for the last time
Her favorite plant of all
the ‘ Bleeding Heart ’ how apt she thought
Then heard a frightened call
She placed aside the hypo
And pulled the leaves aside
There the smallest ginger kitten
Was doing his best to hide
The woman felt her heart surge
A feeling she’d thought gone
As she gently held the tiny boy
How special was this one
She named the kitten ‘Hero - Dot’
Because of him she lived
It gave her shivers when she thought of what she almost did
Life is more than precious
A little dot had shown her this
Get out there, enjoy the world
It’s yours and it’s a gift.
