"I got to say...you always knew how to pick the best places," said Kelsey softly.
The James River rushed to the side of them, roaring with the extra volume it had gained with the surplus of rain they'd received the last week.
"Oh. You like it? I wasn't too sure when we first got to all the old industrial buildings and stuff. Once you get past those eye sores it's like another world."
"No, I like it all! The old bridges are really cool but I guess honestly I'm glad we kept walking... I love being by the water."

"You would love Maine. The water here is nice but it's to die for up there."

Shawn was grateful for the roaring waters that drowned out his churning stomach; nausea was starting to rise into his throat.
He just hoped she didn't notice his shakiness.
"I'm glad you got out of this hell hole town...there's nothing good here. Nobody's making it besides the ones born into money."

"Yeah... I guess so. College is almost over. I'll be happier if I graduate."
