Essentially the role of Head Cheese Inspector for the play was intended for Baxter. He practiced his lines faithfully for two months. During auditions, he choked up and left the room, embarrassed. Although he got a callback, (because he knew Mr. Fillet, the stage manager), he felt I'll prepared. So much so, that during the callback reading he stopped short and passed out.
