Rainy Day
On a rainy day, the sky was covered in dark clouds, and the sound of raindrops hitting the window filled the air. I sat by the window, watching the rain pour down.
As the rain continued to fall, I decided to make a cup of hot tea for myself and snuggle up on the couch with a good book. The sound of the rain outside created a soothing background noise as I lost myself in the pages of my book.
Suddenly, there was a knock on the door. I hesitated for a moment, wondering who could be visiting on such a dreary day. I opened the door to find my best friend, Myra, standing there with a big smile on her face.
"Hey Awaleen! I couldn't resist coming over on a rainy day like this. I brought some snacks and board games. How about we have a cozy day indoors together?" Myra said.
My face lit up with joy as I welcomed my friend inside. We spent the rest of the day playing board games, sharing stories, and laughing together. The rain continued to pour outside, but inside, the warmth of friendship and laughter filled the room.
As the day turned into evening, the rain began to subside, and a beautiful rainbow appeared in the sky. I and Myra stood by the window, admiring the colorful arc stretching across the horizon.
"Even on a rainy day, there's always something beautiful to be found," I said.
Myra nodded in agreement, grateful for the unexpected joy that the rainy day had brought us. And as the sun set, casting a golden glow over the world, I and Myra knew that our friendship would always shine bright, no matter the weather.
