Now,what do we understand by the word "Charity'?
The broad meaning of charity is to share or donate things without any self- profit. Charity is one of the most humble deeds in this miserable and greedy world and cannot be practised by everyone. Charity can take place before or after using an item. For instance, we can provide an orphanage with old and used clothes. But also give them freshly bought food. In both cases, we are supporting the children who are less fortunate by providing something that they need. There are several merits of charity. Some of them are:-
We learn to give up possessiveness.
We understand how to stay and talk with people of different financial status and not judge them based on their appearance.
We learn to be more kind.
At last, we help our economy.
It is commonly said that charity begins at home. As, when we learn to share with our siblings and care about our family. We automatically start thinking about the people and society around us. The simplest example of sharing in our family is love,true and passionate love. When we share and spread the love we automatically form peace. To share and spread love "International Charity Day" is celebrated every year. Other than that huge functions and auctions are held to help raise money for charity or for the orphanages.
