Footprints
One night I had a wonderful dream. I saw I was walking along the beach with my Lord and across the sky, flashed the scenes from my life. For each scene, I noticed two sets of footprints on the sand, one belonging to me and one to my Lord.
After the last scene of my life flashed before me, I looked back at the footprints on the sand and I noticed that, at many times along the path of my life, especially at the very lowest and saddest times, there was only one set of footprints.
This really troubled me, so I asked the Lord about it. "O My Lord, you said, once I decided to follow you, You'd walk with me all the way, but I noticed that during the saddest and most troublesome times of my life, there was only one set of footprints. I don't understand why, when I needed You the most, You would leave me."
He whispered, "My precious child, I love you and will never leave you, never, ever, during your trials and testings. When you saw only one set of footprints, it was then that I carried you." My eyes filled with tears hearing this and I thanked Lord for His immense love. When I woke up from my dream, I still had tears in my eyes. Then, I remembered my dream which was nothing less than God's vision about what He said to me and my life changed forever.

(P. S. The above has been modified by me after receiving something like this as a forward poem years ago. I came across that poem today and decided to modify it in my words so that when you read it, you must always remember that God carries us during the worst times of our life. He knows we would need Him the most at that time. We only need to keep faith and patience. Faith, that no matter what, God will never leave our hands. It's we who need to hold on to Him. Patience, because everything happens according to His plans. He knows what's best for us and it will unfold at the right time. Just believe, His timings are perfect. )
