WHAT IS YOUR STRENGTH
Nahum 3:8-10(NLT) - Are you any better than Thebes, surrounded by rivers, protected by water on all sides?
Ethiopia and the land of Egypt were the source of her strength, which seemed without limit. The nations of Put and Libya also helped and supported her.
Yet Thebes fell, and her people were led away as captives. Her babies were dashed to death against the stones of the streets. Soldiers cast lots to see who would get the Egyptian officers as servants. All their leaders were bound in chains.
The question today is, what is your strength?
Who is your strength?
What is the source of your strength?
Who do you rely on?
But I tell you, sincerely if your answer is not genuinely God, you are far away from strength. You are exposed to danger and disappointment.
Everything, everyone on earth will fail you. But, only one, just a man and He is the God and the creator of the whole universe. He alone will not fail you.
I remember when I was in my ND 2 second semester and it about the time to pay for school fee. It remains 15% for my school fee to completed . I rely and depend on two source then. There is this particular man I worked for who promised to help me pay the 15%. And I also depended on my income to pay my school fee.
But you know what, Work didn't move like it use to again, and the man that promised me did not fulfill his promise to me. Now it was two days left for the school portal to close for payment of school fee. At that moment, I knew my wisdom and strategies cannot pay my school fee here. Then I remember a man who had been helping me from the very first day I got to school till that moment and had never for once fail. He is God, the creator of the heaven and the earth.
I went to God that moment in prayer and supplication. And he told me to call my mom and sis. I shouted what!!. What do you mean? My mom can never give me that amount. My sis will laugh at me. I refuse to call them. Then I remember He is God and not a man. Then I told God any number I saw first I will call. When i picked up my phone, I saw my sis number first and I called her. I told her my school fee is not complete and I need 15% for my school fee to complete and the portal will close the next day evening. She said okay that she will call me back the next day.
At that moment I knew God has done it. The next day morning, I saw the alert of 15% percent of my school fee and my sis called after I got the alert, if I had seen the money. I went to God immediately after the call with joy and smile.
You know what, God is a rewarder of those who diligently seek him. He never fail a man. He will always have your back.
If you don't know him yet, it high time you go to him. He is far better than what any man on earth can give. He knows what you need even before you ask. He has every key to every door.
Him alone should be your strength, your source, and your helper. If you don't know him yet, it better you do now.
