The Spirit of the early Christians reminds me how the historical events that took place in A.D 52 when Claudius banished the Christians from Rome, for preaching the name of Christ. Where Paul was moved by the spirit of those Christians at that time who were driven out of Rome by Claudius, he was zealous to visit them despite the crisis going on then. He was not moved by what befell his brothers at Rome, but he was moved by love. As if that was not enough, during the time of Emperor Nero many Christians were persecuted and burnt to death. They were lighted and used as a touch during the night by Nero. Some were clothed with the skin of bear and given to dogs to be bitten to death. Early Christians suffered so many persecutions in the hands of Some heartless Roman Emperor.
