Have I told you that you're beautiful? You are beautiful, broken, exciting, funny, witty, brave and deeply compationate. I have fought my heart and my head for the entire time I have known you. Telling myself that you need to find someone younger, more handsome, charming, motivated and assertive. All the while my heart is hoping you wont. That you will see us...together and happy. I catch a mere hint of your scent and my heart races. I see your passion when you speak and i cant help but smile. I know i am not who you want, and likely less who you need. But what i have for you is real, it is now. And not likely to change, only grow stronger. How could i have made such a mess of something so special? Well, the heart wants what it wants. Couldn't change it if i cared to. Wouldn't anyway... So i will keep my vow, to never let you know, that - I have loved you from the moment I met you. But id rather live an eternity only being a friend, than risk loosing you because I can't be loved. I hope that you forgive a man his weakness, and just smile at him instead.
