The Murderous Mirror Pt.25
Ben

6:30 pm - “What did you find?” He shouted back, but there was no reply. Either something happened or she couldn’t hear him.

He ran towards the shout, and through the door without even noticing the note. Luna was already in the dumbwaiter, it looked small and cramped, barely able to hold her.

“Get in,” She said encouragingly, waving her hand.
“I can’t fit in there with you”
“Yes you can” She scooched over the littlest amount.

He started folding his legs to get into the dumbwaiter, then tried to fit the rest of his body by putting his head last.
“Oww” Rubbing his head to sooth the little bit of pain he felt.
“Are you okay?”
“Yeah”
They were so close that they were practically molded into one another. They were so close that they could kiss, but no, not now, that's not what they're here for, right? But they couldn’t help it. The moment was right. So they kissed in that dumbwaiter, hugging each other because of the tight space, locking lips, the dust flying around their heads. Ben's cheeks were blushing a rose gold and Lunas a brighter pink, neon pink. Ben thought it was the closest thing to good in the past couple days so why waste the moment.

BOOM!

The rope holding the dumbwaiter started to get strained, and slowly broke. The tension in that box was too much to hold so they slammed into the concrete underneath them in the basement. It was pitch black, they could barely see each other, let alone what was in front of them. The whimpering sound had stopped, now it was silent, except for the crack of Ben slowly getting up.
“You okay?” Ben asked.
“Yeah I think, you?
“Hopefully, nothing feels broken, do you need help?”
“Yeah but I can’t see your hand”
Then he felt something slimy and gushy in his hand.
“Did you find my hand?”
“No?”

Annabelle

Alsngd - “Maybe I should introduce myself,” he clutched his hands together, rubbing them, then tapping his fingers, back to rubbing them, then tapping his fingers against each other.
“I am your stepdad, well maybe not yours, but the details don’t really matter though.”
She rushed and got up, clutching the bed trying to get away but struggling over the weight placed on her ankle. Her side felt increasingly numb, the pain disappearing in the height of her adrenaline boost. She kept trying to get away, limping slower and slower towards the windowsill trying to get away from the creepy man.

“Get away, please, I beg you!” She was holding on to the ledge slowly falling onto the floor, sliding down the rough cemented wall. She couldn't even try to get up if she wanted to, her side was now umbaralmby strobing in pain.

Luna

7:00 pm - “I feel something in my hand”
“Stop touching it, let it go”
“Yeah, but what is it?”
“I don't know? I can’t see anything, help me find a flashlight?”
She started feeling around, she found a counter that was rather dusty and hard to touch without getting shivers up her spine and back down her back. The next thing she touched was a shelf, still dusty, she felt a couple books on the bottom, nothing on the second except for cobwebs, but on the third there was a button. Click, she blinked. The light was too bright, almost unbearable. She gripped it and waved it around to where she assumed Ben was. When she shined it in the direction there was a human shaped shadow lying upon the floor, but a human sized bag hanging from the sealing, with a hand hanging out and down. It was black and blue, purple at the fingernails, with scratches of blood lying on the inside of its palm.

7:10 pm - Based on how the hand looked, the body must be at least several weeks old. There were still whimpering sounds coming from somewhere, except now they were crying, exasperated sounds. They started walking towards it, slowly walking towards the sound, startled to find out what would be waiting behind door number one.

The door creaked, moving slowly inch by inch. There was something blocking the way. When they opened it there was the photo of the girl, the same strawberry blond hair, but older or maybe it was what she had seen before that made her older. She looked pristine compared to the dirt that was compacted around in piles and on shelves around her.

Annabelle

Almche - “No ones going to believe you” He said sinisterly.
Then he pressed a button, saying something into it which she could not hear. Seconds later there were people entering the room. People grabbing and tugging her shoulders, taking her away. She was struggling trying to break free. But then there was a pinch in her arm, right below her shoulder, then she couldn't see, it was black and dark.

When she came to, she was in bed, strapped to the bed at her ankles and her elbows. She must be in another part of the hospital, there were the same white cement looking walls. There was no pillow under her head, just the harshness of an average hospital bed. It was hard, it felt as if there were no sheets underneath her, just the scratchiness of the “bed” underneath. She started to wriggle around trying to somehow breakfree but it was to no avail, her ankle was too weak to get any leverage, and the restraints were too tight to even move her hands at all.

Ben

11:00 pm - Her hand was sweaty, shaky and nervous, but it felt so good, to finally be in this moment whether it's in a good or bad moment in time it just felt right. Their hands were resting upon the center console, while Ben was holding Luna's hand his other was resting on the steering wheel driving through the darkness.
“Hey, I don't mean to interrupt whatever is going on, but umm, where are we going? And where are you taking me?” The girl in the photo asked.
“We are going to a safe place, a place where you can not get hurt, where we can hopefully somehow figure out a way to protect you. Oh! Also I am Ben. This is Luna. By the way since you asked who we were, who are you exactly”
“I’m Rachel, the body in there was my moms, I.. I don't know what happened, I came home one day and she was there, in that bag

11:30 pm - They arrived at the restaurant all three of them. Luna went in first to start setting up spots for them to sleep with whatever she could find inside. Ben and Rachel soon followed suit. Rachel entered first and then Ben. They walked in to find that Luna had already gotten most of the beds ready for the unrestful sleep that they are all bound to get.

Ben grabbed Luna's laptop and sat at a booth to try and find anything he could on about what happened to see if it had happened in the past. And he found a story that was very interesting on a website buried in the depths of many other various websites.
“Hey! Luna I found something interesting, would you like me to read it?”
“Is that even a question”
“Okay it reads
We were only two, I don't know how I survived, but I did. My friend on the other hand got stuck. In the beginning it was I who was sick, but then I disappeared to this other world, where all I could do was watch. Where all I could do was sit there and watch, there was nothing else in this world except for fires that were an incandescent purple flame. I watched my friend try to save me countless times, but eventually she gave up, too many people were getting hurt because of us. Then somehow she was also there, somehow my friend had also come into this world. Again I don't know how she got there. We were probably both in there together for two hours or so. But, somehow I got out, I got out. My friend's body though when I got out, it was in very rough shape. She was so red and pale, but she could talk, only it was not her talking. It was like it was a mirrored version of her. It looked, it talked, but it didn't speak like her. She died a few days after that. I don't know what happened, but this is my story. If anyone knows anything or has been through anything like this then please tell me. Please help me!

And that's what it says. I think we should go to the library in the morning, but for now let's get some sleep.

Day 3 of Death

Annabelle

Lamdue - “Don’t be thinking you're going to be getting out of here. He started walking closer, and the closer he got Annabelle could see a rectangular black remote in his hand. He was messing with it, rubbing his fingers over a button he looked eager to press.

“You're not coming out until it’s my daughter.” He then pressed a button. She looked up, into his eyes but he didn’t look back he was staring and walking towards the window instead. But then she couldn’t look anymore, she couldn’t keep her eyes open anymore, they were twitching, she was twitching. There was a shocking pain in her back, then again, and again, and again. Until she couldn’t see, until she couldn’t feel anything and the only thing she could feel was her head slamming into the bed, eyes rolling back, body quivering.

She was still awake though but he kept pressing it again, but all it was doing was hurting and clearly not doing what he wanted. His face was a mixture of worry and hopefulness; he was both smiling and grunting.
“Why is it not working!” She watched him turn up a dial on the controller in his hand. Then he smoothly pressed the button again. This time Annabelle fell.

Makdbe - She fell onto a floor, it looked like a house. There was a wood floor sitting underneath her. Although she couldn’t see much more, it was dark, almost like she was in a forest but there was chill. In fact it felt neither warm nor cold, it just felt lonely until. She then heard herself whispering to other people then it went quite again and she felt alone again. But was it better to be around those sounds or feeling lonely, either way her eyes were slowly adjusting to the darkness she could now see the crown molding of the ceiling and a flashlight that rested upon a wooden side table. She picked it up, making her hands instantly feeling sooty. Once picking it up she headed towards the sound of her own voice, walking through a hallway that felt oddly familiar and wrong at the same time.

Luna

6:00 am - Luna, Ben, and the new person Rachel all walked into a rustic looking library. It looked like it could've been a castle several years ago but has no use in today's society. Once inside Ben and Luna instantly headed towards the computers while Rachel went towards the bookshelves with historic looking books.

Luna couldn't help but watch Rachel. She picked a book off the shelf and looked at Luna. She then turned back around and kept turning the pages of the book to try to search for something, anything really. Eventually Luna tapped Ben on the shoulder then looked at Rachel. She must've known that they were looking at her because she immediately turned around and said she found something.
“What?” She said slightly snotty.
“Did you find something?”
“Yes” She said as she was walking over to show them the story.
“It says,” she continued once at the table, “We walked from the village to where the edge of and meets the waters edge. I stared into myself, and people suddenly started to crowd around me, only when I went to go reach out to see if they were truly there they weren't. Then my face started to distort, my eyes became boring dark bottomless holes, and my mouth started melting slowly dripping down until my skull became the only thing I could see of myself. I then stood up and looked at the world around me, my village was no longer there, the people they had also disappeared. I had thought it a hallucination , but I started walking and turned back to where the river had been but it had dried up; it was now just a simple ravine. I kept walking to try and find any sign of civilization, but I couldn't find any, the sky had turned dark and flames had started devouring the trees around me. One could only presume I ran but I did the opposite, I stayed in that spot, and let the ashes from the trees burn me to death. One might call me crazy but I didn't die, I woke up looking at my reflection, watching the people around me walk away while still staring at the water. Then I turned around and walked back to my village, I later asked around my village what could have possibly happened to me there was only one answer that I found. That one answer was I scryed myself into another world by not looking but by staring at my reflection. It also says that this was written 450 years ago, but it doesn't say where from.”
“How did you find that?” Ben asked
“It.. It just felt right.” She said while slightly trembling the book in her hands.

Just then Luna started getting an agonizing pain in her chest. She then looked over to Ben and locked eyes, and Ben's eyes read the same thing she was feeling. The feeling of absolute dread that something grisly was going to happen.

Beth

Mnsjfe - The bed is white, completely pristine compared to the surrounding charred burning edges of the walls and floors that surround it. The floor is covered in soot, almost 3 inches deep and growing. There were once violet flames where now shattered glass lay broken on the floor. Her tears started to fall like the charred remains of what's left of her world. She couldn't control it, they kept falling. The pillow underneath her head was fluffy, she imagined it white like the bed underneath her but it was black covered in soot like everything else. She stared up to the sky hoping for anything to happen that would now save her from what she thinks is her fate through the gaping hole in the ceiling.

“I just wanted to live past this!” She screamed. She jumped off the bed and grabbed the pillow, looked for the seam and tore it pulling the feathers out and throwing them. Then she went for the bedsheets she tore them off the bed, and fell to the barely stable floor beneath her. She couldn't stand being here, in this world, trapped to this doom.

There were thwomps coming from behind the narrowing door. She then heard a barely audible voice shouting her name. The voice felt familiar like someone wrapped their arms around her and squeezed.

Ben

6:55 am - The traffic towards the hospital was horrendous. It's like everyone needs to move at the same time. They had to make it to the hospital to see Annabelle or else something horrible could happen. They had finally arrived a couple minutes ago. They were now rushing up the stairs trying to get to the sliding doors at the entrance as fast as they could. They had finally made it but then the nurse told them that they could not visit Annabelle because she had been moved to a violence ward, she had tried to harm herself by getting up and trying to reach the window to jump. The nurse tried not to tell them what room Annabelle was in but Luna kept prying, she wanted to get there more than anyone else there. Eventually the nurse told them the room but that they still weren't allowed inside.

A nurse and a doctor then ran past them headed in the direction of Annabelles room. Luna then tapped Ben on the shoulder and gave a nod to Rachel and they headed towards the bathroom. The nurse didn't yell or ask them any questions, probably too confused to speak.

Randolph

Lsknde - Hello there, dear reader, I’m guessing you're wondering who I am, well the truth is I am someone you'd probably most likely not want to meet. I am the narrator, the one that's been telling you this story. Telling you my thoughts, spoiling things for that you thought you might find out sooner or haven't found out yet. In case you don't know yet, I am also the doctor, yes the one in Annabelles room right now, so let's get back to that shall we.

I pressed the button that shocked her into coding, but in all truth, I don't want her to survive. If she dies I get my daughter back, the one that she got rid of to come back here, to her friends, but certainly not her mother, I made sure that was not a problem before I came here.

She keeps twitching and although it looks awful mainly because of the restraints, I have to stand and watch it all the way through. I can hear the nurses opening the door. I have to quickly hide the remote so they can’t see it was me who did it, because afterall I still have to keep my disguise. But then she stopped convulsing, neither the nurse nor the doctor that came in touched her though. She just stopped and lied, slowly breathing, eyes shut but moving behind the lids.

Annabelle

Pamlsg - She was in a dark and eerily quiet room. She could only distinguish it through the slight red glint reflecting back upon the walls from the faintly lit candles lying on the floor. She could hear whispers further away, down the hall in front of her, but then a voice that sounded as familiar as her own replied to the whispering one. She couldn't tell what they said though it was too faint to hear. She started walking down the hall towards the voices even though she was terrified for what she could be approaching.

The hallway seemed to go on forever, as if it was a maze. On this walk she passed a couple doors but she never walked through because the voices remained in front of her and at the same distance. Just then something lit in her mind. What if it's a puzzle?

Narrator

If it was a puzzle, would you try to figure it out for the chance to be free with the risk of being trapped in a dark room or never ending hallway for the rest of your life. Will she choose wisely?

Annabelle

Skncge - She walked through the first door on her right not sure if it's the right one, but knowing that she has to go through it. The first turn did not lead anywhere, but to a slightly brighter hallway with slightly better waves of light flickering from the moving flames of the candles. They were moving, where was the wind coming from? She followed to where she felt a slight breeze and put her hand up to it, feeling for a breeze and surely enough she found one. She entered it, knowing that the gust of air had to come from somewhere. The next hallway was brighter, there were no longer candles on the floor instead ceiling lights, although dim a lot brighter than the candles before. The walls were dark with soot. There also were no longer any doors except for the one she just came through. She tried to open it once more just to see if she could go back, but it didn't open. Once again she was in a hallway except a different one, one with an end, but where did it end, her dead, or the end of the hallway.
