The North Evergreens: 10
Just wanna say:
OMG WE REACHED CHAPTER TEN YAAAY!!!!!!
The band on their way to the Eustace & Finn Burgers listened to the sound of people in the bar Xyco, to other teens listening to loud music, to strange noises in the abandoned buildings and... to Ducya, talking about phobias.
"I heard there is also a phobia of becoming pregnant. It's so weird."
"If you wanna talk about phobias," - said Anya - "go to my biology teacher. He is very interested in that. But just, not us. Not me, at least"
Evdokia stopped talking. By that time they already reached their destination.
"Wow... it looked better last time." - said Evelina, surprised.
The cafe was dark. No lights were on, no sounds came out. The building was abandoned.
"I liked going there." - Dequisa said, sadly.
"It looks burnt." - said Evan - "Maybe there was a fire."
"I'm afraid."
The sign above the door was crooked, the lamps were broken, the windows tinted from smoke.
"Turn on your detective sense, Evergreen," - said Anya - "about how long ago did the fire happen?"
"Not too long. If it was a month, other creeps like us would be already crawling around and making their base." - she went to the part where there was a kitchen before - "The silverware is untouched. Though, who would want melted pieces of metal and steel?"
"Creeps like us, for example." - said Tayler.
They stood there for a while. Then Evelina turned and went to look for another cafe. Everyone followed.
"Where do we go now?" - asked Ducya - "Maybe to Fili Pot? Their fruit salad is good."
"Anything," - Dequisa said - "I am the hungriest person on the planet right now!"
"Me too." - said Anya - "I will eat the whole White House."
"About The White House," - said Evan - "there is a new cafe called The White House on Heron Street. Let's check that one out."
They followed Evan to the "White House", because he visited Heron St. most of all and knew better where it is. Turned out it wasn't that far.
The cafe was very big and looked like the real white house, only small. There was a small fountain in front of it, just like the real one had. The white columns were holding up the roof.
"Wow!" - Dequisa exclaimed - "This is more like a restaurant. It's so beautiful..."
"The food is even better." - said Evan.
They opened the glass doors. There were much more people than in other restaurants in the North Evergreens.
"I've seen the White House." - Evelina said - this looks exactly the same. I haven't been inside, of course."
The inside looked almost as great as the outside. It was bright and loud. The food, as Evan said, looked great indeed.
"Ah, Evan, my good friend!" - said a man with a British accent, young, probably less than 30 years old, tall and handsome - "You brought company! Who are these young ladies?" - then he saw Tayler, standing in the back - "Oh, and sire."
"These are my friends from other places, Evelina from the South Evergreens, Anya from Kelushkino, Dequisa and Sabrina from Garton, Evdokia from The New Weselts, right behind the South Evergreens, and Tayler, from the place I came - Furgeson Town."
"Well, I knew you would come soon, so I prepared a special table. There's enough room for everyone."
The band followed the man to their table.
