Lonely Life
My father lived in this town called hanoi for two years and was an alcoholic. he used to drink when he was younger and would sit down in the kitchen, he'd eat and go to his little bar, but he never showed up, so he was always left alone. "when i was around age 10 or 11, my father turned around and started smoking. he could see the smoke coming out of his eyes, he could see the smoke coming out of his mouth. i don't know why. he didn't have any problem with it. he didn't like the whole smoking thing. "his family started getting together in the mid 1960s but had trouble getting the money. i don't know why, i just don't know. i think it was really because of my father. he was always in love with his family. "i can recall him having his drink, like two or three times a night. he would say, 'i like this drink.' it wasn't going, 'i want to drink it.' he was smoking in his room." he died at the age of 88. bardic work was common in hanoi. but as the country's war broke out, the war was over and the war was done. in 1986, the government of vietnam began the process of ending the war. the only problems were that the government did not have enough troops to fight in war...
