Case NO. G707- Chapter 8
Chapter 8- A betrayal!

The whole night Yukti couldn't sleep. All in her mind was Ranjiv's matter and that riddle. She woke up from the bed, turned on the lights and sat on the table.
She got an idea to decode the riddle, she was solving it and talking to herself.

Yukti: In this riddle, anyone can decode that it's talking about a case file. So, only a case file is not the answer. What if....it's hiding the case number? Let me see....
So...the first one-"Be your own strength " Um...a case number has an alphabet at first, let's take it as 'B',now..the numbers.
Second- "You are too intelligent" Huh? what is the number in this? ( she repeated the sentence twice) Yeah! I got it ,it's 'too' means '2' in the sentence.
Next the third one- " The only person who can solve this case". It's not like the second one. Wait...'one'.... the sentence is talking about only one person that means the number is '1'.

Fourth- 'Stand for the justice, for the truth' In this sentence the word 'for' sounds much similar like 'four', so..maybe it's the number '4'.

Finally, now I have to put these together, which makes....Um...the case number B214. What a 11 year old case? This is the case Steve was talking about that day! Gosh!...

Flashback- (Steve: B....B....Ah! I can't remember the case number.)

Back to present,
Yukti then decided to go to the record room because she knew because that was the only place where she could find all her answers.

Next day Yukti and Steve went to the record room. She got the case file b214 from there. (Car doors shutting sounds). They started discussing about the case file sitting in the car.
Steve: You told that you have decoded the puzzle ,is this the answer?
Yukti: Hmm....Steve! see, in this case B214 total seven people were there to witness the crime, your uncle and aunt were eye witness there. And....guess what! The culprit was minister's elder son.
Steve: Seems like this was the reason of my uncle and aunt to be killed.
Yukti: No...no...you're wrong, actually he was sentenced to be hanged. In case G707 the murderer is someone else, someone...........from the minister's family. Start driving Steve, we're going to meet Mr Digvijay. (He is a retired police officer)

In his house,
Mr Digvijay: OH...Yukti, nice to meet you, come in. What brought you here all of a sudden?( All three sat on the sofa) Would you guys like to have some tea or snacks?
Yukti: No..no it's OK. Nice to meet you too sir, I'm working on case G707 and this is Steve, the victim. My case is related to yours one B214. Sir can you please give me some information on this topic?
Mr Digvijay: Yes I can, the criminal's name was Ankit. He was hanged in the crime of murdering 3 people. (Handing her over a file)And...in this file you'll get to know in details about Ankit's family background.
Yukti: Thank you so much sir, this helped me a lot. Take care sir! Bye!
Mr Digvijay: Bye Yukti! Feel free to ask for any help!
They came back from Mr Digvijay's house and were walking on a road in front of the house.
Steve: Thank you so much Yukti, my uncle and aunt wouldn't have got justice if you didn't helped this much!
Yukti: It's my duty Steve! Mr and Mrs Adam didn't got the justice totally, the culprit needs to be punished.
(Past tense here read is to be pronounced as 'red') She read the file and found something that made her almost fall down on the ground in shock (while walking). The fact was really shocking for her, that broke her trust too.

Yukti: WHAT!!?? A BETRAYAL!! I never expected this!!!

So... my dear readers......what she read in the file that shocked her??
Who do you think the culprit is?

To know further.......you guys now know what to do....
