The setting was perfect. Candlelight, polished cutlery and a single rose set in a delicate vase at each table. Time was running slow, it's 9:52 PM and now Michelle's makeup was also getting faded. She again rushed to dressing room and blushed her face with rosy pink shade, wine red lipstick, applied eyeliner and light blue eye shadow. Now again she looked at clock, now it's 9:57. Only 3 mins left for reaching her husband. She took a deep breath and sat on couch. Suddenly her phone rings, and that was an unknown number. She picked the call untill it completed one whole ring. That was male's voice in low pitch, he asked "Are you Michelle?" Michelle replied "yes ofcourse, who are you?" He said "I'm your husband's colleague, Jem. Your husband is admitted in City Hospital." "Whattttt.......", Michelle screamed. "What happened to my husband,please tell me" Jem said, "Please come to City Hospital ASAP" Michelle, "Ok I'm coming."
Michelle hurriedly went in her room took her wallet and handbag and came out of the flat. She moved to parking area, unlocked her car and got in, started and reached hospital within 30 mins. She asked receptionist about her husbannd's ward. Receptionist indicated his ward and she went inside the ward. Her husband, Rachel was unconscious and was on ventilator. After seeing him she bursted into tears. A person was there, he patted her back and said "for past 3 weeks, he was suffering from sneezing, coughing and high fever, he took it lightly. After multiple times reminders I told him, he should go to do tor but he didn't listen. And today when we were returning from office, suddenly he fell down. I touched him, he had high temperature. Then immediately I took him to hospital and informed you. Doctors are saying he has pneumonia so they operated ventilator for him. But some reports are still pending, it would be delivered to you within an hour. Please you don't worry. Just take care of yoyrself." Michelle felt now her life is alive. She thought more than this. Why......? Beacuse of pendemic situation in whole world. No one is safe. She got feared after listening Jem.
After an hour, doctor came with report. He said, "everything is normal, except his lungs' blockage due to phlegm in chest. No problem, it will take one day for keep him under observation and will take care by medicines. So you take rest. And don't panic. "
Michelle sat on sofa nearby her husband's bed, waited for her husband to wake up. She wanted to talk to him. She was feeling alone.....
