Phone beeps... Morning dear, how are you doing today? Dave asked. Morning handsome, I'm good. Thanks for the time spent yesterday. Argh! It's nothing. So, have you tried calling Jerry? Hmm, nope I haven't. Your call got me up actually. Wow! I'm sorry to disturb your sleep. Dave said pathetically. It's okay dear. Thanks for everything. Star replied. Try calling Jerry okay! Dave said. I would do just that, Star said and they hung the call.
Yeaah! Esther yawned as she stretches her body. It's wonderful to be alive today, Daddy I'm grateful. She said as she knelt by her bed to observe her morning devotion. She sang praises and said a little prayer. Off to her convenience, she took her bath and got dressed for the day's work. She was a chattered accountant in one of the banks in town.

In her car...
She turned the radio and listen carefully as she drove herself down the road. The presenter was talking about "Failed Marriages"
The presenter: Morning to all our listeners. I hope you slept well? It's a good morning, a blessed one for that matter. She laughed a bit. Okay my people, let's start today's busy. Today! we would be talking about Failed Marriages.
To start with, many people failed in their marriages because they failed to know what marriage is exactly. Many just venture into it without considering many factors that would hold the family eventually. Ladies and gentlemen, it will be foolish for one to go ahead with a relationship where your partner isn't seeing you as a priority. You may be saying he would change when you got married. But the truth is, whatever you weren't able to conquer at your courtship level would grow into a full problem when you got married.. At this point, Esther heavied a sign., hmmmn 🤔. I better not force myself on Jerry so I won't have myself to be blamed. God, help me and guide me to choose aright. She turned left to her office. She parked and found her way to the door. She greeted the gateman and some of their customers standing there. Madam Esther o, anything for the boys? The gateman asked her jokingly. I understand you, she said and gave him a thousand note. Their mother! the finest was all the gateman keep saying until she was out of sight.
As she got to her office, her phone beeps. She was surprised to see who was calling. It was Jerry. Hello babe, how are you doing? She checked the phone to be sure who was calling. Jerry! I'm good. And you? Esther asked. I'm good too dear. I'm sorry for all have done to you in the past. I hope you find a place in your heart to forgive me. He said with all seriousness. I've forgiven you dear, if I haven't. I would not picked your call. Star replied. Can we go on a date then? He asked. Hmmmn, sure we can. Star replied. When would that be? They both asked at the same time. They gave a chuckle. You tell me, Jerry said. Anywhere, so far it would not be one of the places we've visited before. Star said. I would call you after work. She said and they hung the call.

Esther POV....
What could have happened to Jerry? Has Dave talked to him as promised? Wow, this is great! my own Jerry asking for a date. Let's wait and see.. She picked her phone to call Dave. But his call came in before she could. Wow! You are some kind of magicians. Star said with all excitement. I could believe this. Dave smiled, it's okay dear. we should thank God. Don't worry, all is well now.
