An unimaginable dream
# WritcoStoryChallenge
The old house stood dilapidated and full of memories. Noone could stop the unimaginable turn of events unfolding into mirage of the day. Roaring thunders of tears to come could be felt only by a passionate being flowing through the innocence of the day. Who would dare wake me up from such a horrendous dream. To me it seemed as if the mango trees around our yard were 5km tall and the perches of grass inside our compound was a valley full of untenable caves. I could see people around me scurrying for cover from the floods of tears gushing out of my eyes. The great tree of our time had departed from our lifetime with no word of conclusion. Who would defend the innocent souls brought into existence by this hardworking soul. His great works were scattered all around his vast empire to prove that indeed he was a capable warrior to his immediate family. You could read through the faces of his closest buddies the shock expressed by lack of utterances. Exposed we now were to the marauding circumstances of this life with noone to raise a red flag. To me it seemed like it was the day I was born but the most amazing thing noone was welcoming the new baby. New definitions of the term called life starting causing commotion inside my merger head, bringing about dusty horizons marking the new, unfolding demise. Who was going to help me cross this violent river I am looking at. Seated at the banks of a fierce flood, with the only bridge having been swept away. The hope of a greener future seemed to fade away. What I was looking at was a thriller filled with the realities of the new world brought to me. I started having a brand new definition of life because the pillar had fallen. The fort had been destroyed. If any amount of regret and grief could bring back life, my father would have risen to life again. R.I.P KG Mugaviri
