Author's P.O.V.~

Nathan was in his office when a sudden knock disturbed him and he looked up at the door .

"Come in."

The door opened and Ishaanvi came inside looking at Nathan and glanced around his office for a good few seconds then looked back at him , to which Nathan raised an eyebrow leaning forward.

"I see , you have stopped the act now."

He spoke in a cold tone his predatory eyes meeting Ishaanvi's stubborn and cold ones and she sighed shrugging her shoulders and walked towards his desk.

"I will get straight to the point. Julia is my bestfriend she is like a family to me , and since you came into her life , everything has became complicated."

She spoke to which Nathan simply hummed in response but soon enough there was a tip of a sword on Ishaanvi's neck making her eyes widened in surprise and as she turned to look at the person holding it, her eyes meeting a cold and emotionless grey eyes .

"Suryavarth, I didn't ask you to interrupt."

A cold and authoritative tone boomed inside the office .

"Pardon me , your majesty . She was simply being too rude with you."

"Do you wish for me to repeat myself?"

Suryavarth took a deep breath clenching on the handle of the sword and withdrew.

"Haa.. how loyal guards you have."

Ishaanvi said with a surprised but frustrated tone looking at the man wearing full black and bowing his head down standing beside Nathan.

"My apologies , so what were you saying?"

"I just want to know if you will hurt her."

She spoke rather straightforwarfly making Suryawarth eyes twitch in displeasure , not getting unnoticed by Ishaanvi to which she smirked knowing he can't do anything to her.

"I will never hurt her , not even in my dreams , not even if I die . She is the reason I have come so far , she is my lifeline , without her I would've died long ago."

Nathan spoke in a rather serious tone leaning forward his arms on his desk , fingers clapsed together.

After hearing his words Ishaanvi just stared at him then sighed shaking her head.

"Fine , I will believe you for now , but.. not before you tell me exactly what has happened. I can promise I won't tell Julia , but I need to know the reason."

Nathan hesitated for a second then sighed gesturing her to sit down across from his desk on the chair to which she complied.

"I knew that left minister's daughter was bold but didn't knew this much. You should know I am tolerating this disrespect ONLY because you are Julia's bestfriend."

Ishaanvi scoffed not caring about his words whereas Nathan was really trying his best not to get mad and get rid of her right this instant.

"Why do you think I will tell you something I am not even telling Julia?"

"Because I am her bestfriend and when her father is absent I will take full responsibility of her."

Nathan clenched his fists at her words and looked up at her with a dangerous glare.

"And who are you take responsibility of her?"
