#Seahorse
Seahorses are a type of fish that get their name from their horselike heads. There are more than 70 seahorse species around the world. These creatures live in shallow waters worldwide, except in colder areas. They swim upright with the help of their dorsal (back) fins. Many seahorses can change their color in minutes, from black or gray to bright yellow or orange. This ability keeps them well-hidden from predators. They feed by sucking small prey into their tubelike mouths.
Sea horses have 3 main fins to help them swim and steer. They are one fin on their back and one small fin on each side of their head. Seahorse also have a 4th fin under their belly for stability control. Their fins help them stabilize their body in the water.
Sea horses have a very small area they live in most of their lives. Male seahorse spend their lives in a area about the size of a teacher's desk (0.5 square meters)
