"Granny, why does grandpa go out to have a walk everyday?" The five year old boy asked his grandmother with wonder.
She looked at him, smiled warmly and said, "Your grandpa loves to walk. Walking helps our bodies to be fit. He wants to be fit and strong for himself and for you. He doesn't want to sit on the chair all day. He likes to be independent. Who'd take you for long walks? Who'd take you to the park? He loves you, babu. He has to stay strong for you. Right?"
The boy laughed with joy. Indeed, his grandpa used to take him to park almost everyday and that was his favourite time of the day. He always looked forward to it. With his working parents, he mostly gets everything done by his grandparents. His parents are only free on Saturdays and Sundays and those were the best days, of course. But the time he spent with his grandparents and the love he received from them could never be replaced.
"Yes, I love grandpa. I love to go to park with him. He is the best." He shouted at the top of his voice and started running towards the door as soon as he heard his footsteps. He saw his grandfather enter the house. The old man immediately laughed and embraced the child, for he knew his grandchild was everything to him. The boy saw his grandpa wearing the same white kurta pajama, and smiled mischievously and said, "Grandpa, can you teach me how to plant a tree in our garden?" The grandfather immediately understood why he said that. He took his grandchild's hand and told him, "Yes, let's go to the garden and plant a tree." Hearing this, the boy squealed with laughter and hugged his grandpa.
